@esther_stan No, i just think he doesn't understand public speaking. He quoted the bible wrongly. It is true that love is not self seeking as the verse said, but it wasn't saying in offences, rather in daily living. I won't be shocked. His pastor preached this,

The idea that women should tolerate misery just to avoid being alone has harmed generations of amazing women who never got to live a full life

@chymaker Yes. I worked at one of those and there were Nigerians there. Nigerians in the diaspora are also known to hire private tutors.

The intentionality of South Asian people in the UK is severely underestimated. I thought I have seen it all but I was somewhere waiting for a friend to pick me up to the office. Whilst there I saw all types of cars dropping off children as young as 4 years old. They will press a buzzer and would be allowed in. The frequency caught my attention especially as it was Friday and I had to ask. I was informed it was tutorial and they will be there from 4:30pm until 9pm and it is like that everyday and even weekend. Do we have such platforms to prepare our children in Nigerian communities in the UK 🤔

I am impressed by how humans invent words to gaslight and manipulate their partners, anything to avoid taking responsibility. Today's breakfast came with the word "Self-seeking". The self-seeking partner is the one who cheated. The one who sought to fulfil his sexual greed. When you hurt your partner, a normal person looks inward to understand why they did what they did and seeks help to avoid repeating it. But manipulators will look outward to find ways to shift responsibility onto their partner. If you can't invite your wife to feast on another hot bearded man during your escapades, so that you can both enjoy the pleasure, then you are the self-seeking one. P:S - Same for women too.

“What is Sola doing in Canada that he cannot send 5 million naira?” Those were the exact words from a relative to my father during the planning of my grandfather’s burial. I had sent ₦300,000 the week before. When my father told me, I sat in my Toronto apartment staring at my bank statement. Rent due. Bills due. Groceries low. Savings needed saving😭 That is the part of japa life nobody talks about. I no go lie. Some diaspora folks are genuinely stingy. We all know one or two. But most of us dey empty ourselves quietly to keep up. Some people back home don’t know what life out here actually costs. Black tax is the biggest elephant in our family WhatsApp group. Nobody is brave enough to point at it. My people abroad and back home, what is the one thing about black tax we need to start saying out loud?

@SolaTheAnalyst @Funminz One thing we need to start saying out loud is that relocating abroad did not automatically make people rich. Some people converted your salary to naira but forgot to convert your expenses too 😭

Most of the people I speak to need help navigating life after exposed adultery. One thing these past few years have taught me is that there are a lot of married women selling vagina, and a lot of married men buying. Families are being destroyed for lust and lies.
