@DaWoblefet i'm going to need you to explain to me this bug that just lost me the game. Incineroar at 1% - switches out for sinistcha. I heat wave + belly drum. Next turn I KO sinistcha. Incin comes in at 25% - my berry never activates - I lose to a FLARE BLITZ on my azu😂

@the_one_gio This is also how the gimmicky tech with stuff like Quick Attack Zacian and Vaccuum Wave BM-Ursa worked by Encoring your own ally to get a one-time +1 prio Behemoth Blade or Blood Moon respectively

I don't want to be that guy but a insane number of players playing on a new platform with someone that usually doesn't organize an event like this is just a recipe for disaster.
Staff can prepare the best they could however, cheaters are going to be the main problem.

there's a whole list of cutting moves that no Sharpness mon gets
I think this is just GF combing through their game and updating a bunch of moves (I'd expect Metal Claw and Shadow Claw to be added, for example)

Dragon Claw gets boosted by Sharpness now?
Nothing with sharpness currently learns dragon claw so maybe haxorus will get it in Champions?
And maybe other Claw moves will be boosted too?
But with such limited distribution I hope there are more Sharpness mons introduced...

@AzazeL_the_God I have 2 concerns regarding the game. 1. It usually takes a few months to get Home compatibility so will we not have access to the new mons/gimmick right away? 2. Winds&Waves is only for the Switch2 how is that going to effect this game being on Switch1 and mobile?

POR does have a prerelease window, so using the POR Pads at Houston is using them before street date

Guys please do not bork your run at houston by playing non ASC pokepads. Its a competitive event for money, if you think someone wouldn't take a free win because you couldn't spend a couple extra bucks on the correct card then you trolling. I would 100% call a judge on my opponent on a win n in if they played a card that was explicitly not allowed.

the next major happens during/after some prereleases but before the street release date (so some folks will have the reprints from the prereleases)

@MrBear02 @PrizeMapTCG It got reprinted in a set that's theoretically much easier to get, but that new set (and therefore the reprint) won't be tourney legal at the next major.
It's a supposed staple that is tough to get currently because its first print was a special and hard to get set.

Looking at the credits again, Koei Tecmo has the majority of names, and they're the ones doing underlying system work + putting pretty textures together. Game Freak has far fewer names and is mostly for the player character + story.

This is not true. The game was a co-development between Game Freak, Koei Tecmo and The Pokémon Company.
Shigeru Ohmori developed the concept and was Senior Director. Lots of Game Freak staff worked on it

Second/third areas - canyon/mountain (to the northwest) or beach (to the east), can go in either order
Fourth area - sky level
I think they're referring to each "area" as a separate island (which isn't accurate but doesn't really matter)
