You know what would be epic? In the distant future when humans have already long settled and evolved on mars and further, someone out there tracks this starman, launches towards it, and actually brings it down to mars, and turns this whole car setup into a memorial to the one and only @elonmusk. I know he isn't asking for one, nor is he the kind that does things expecting something in return, but I'm sure this is something future humans can do, to remind themselves where we come from, how we used to be, and who pushed civilization to the stars. ✨ 🌌 Do you think humans should do this in the future?

@itschrisray Hmmm here's a better idea, instead of using these bulky sensors and figuring out how to manufacture them at scale, may be just use simple 4k cameras? Oh wait, they're already available in their entire fleet of millions of vehicles that are already on the road..... 👀

Remind me why $TSLA is better without lidar sensors…. 🤔 The argument makes less and less sense now that $OUST has released a line of native color lidar sensors with point for point 3D color vision.

My mom sat in the drivers seat while FSD 14.3.2 drove over an hour to my daughter's hockey game. When we were arriving she wanted to record a video to send to her friends. I love seeing these reactions.

Cool video of New Glenn’s fairing re-entry. For this flight we installed an exo-atmospheric reaction control system (RCS) in the fairing to control re-entry and enable recovery of the fairing. We’re planning a parachute recovery later this year, and the data from these fairings gives us the learnings needed to develop and refine that capability.

@amn81052 @teslaownersSV That's not strictly true. They are getting money from NASA as they develop it as an incentive to get it ready for a moon landing. It's not a handout as they need to achieve milestones to get the money. @grok How much of the HLS grant money have SpaceX received so far?

@theo Totally agree. Been using Claude Opus 4.6 for a while. Recently started using 4.7. Somehow didn't feel right. Switched back to 4.6. I wouldn't want to get auto switched to a new model. If I want to do it, I'll do it myself.

On April 27th at about 10:40 PM GMT, I was in the @Space_Station Cupola and saw something really neat. I was scanning the sky to try to catch a glimpse of the approaching Progress MS-34 vehicle bringing new supplies. Just as we were passing over West Africa, I saw a bright object directly below us, streaking through the upper atmosphere. I saw its tail grow and then split apart into a shower of smaller pieces. I think it must have been some piece of orbital debris or a satellite breaking up as it entered the atmosphere. It was quite a light show!

I just realized F1 is back tomorrow 🥲 I wonder if a 1 month break was enough for Honda to finally get their shit together. Will be interesting to see how many teams copied the Macarena flip flop wing as well. I want to see it actually used beyond FP1 for once.
