We need to ensure Web3 is safe and user-friendly for newcomers. Our goal should not only be attracting those interested in financial gains but also those drawn by the tech and its safety. A few weeks ago, one of @goodentrylabs's vaults was compromised. My friend @RubiksWeb3hub alerted me, urging me to notify the team immediately. Sure, we could have benefited financially from the breach, but we considered the broader implications of such actions. While we may not be wealthy, we remain committed to the integrity of the process. That commitment means not engaging in questionable acts merely for a competitive edge. After all, no one is without flaws. It's a reality that we can't entirely eliminate scammers. However, we can enhance Web3's security and provide sufficient education to users. In the past 3 months alone, there have been no fewer than 5 hacks: the Stake exploit, Atomic wallet hack, CoinEx hack, CoinsPaid, and Alphapo hack which has resulted into almost $1B lost (people's hard-earned money). While hackers persist, it's imperative for Web3 creators and builders to remain vigilant. Many vulnerabilities in Web3 still need addressing. In conclusion, for Web3 DApps to achieve the MASS ADOPTION we all desire, they need to be both user-friendly and secure. To Web3 creators and builders: it's time to take action. What do I believe needs to be done? • Web3 creators should prioritize user education. • Web3 builders must not focus solely on DApps' profit potential. Instead, emphasize creating DApps that are user-friendly, sustainable, and secure. No more announcements, let's talk about Rage v2. So where are onchain perps today? Well, @GMX_IO launched v2 enabling new assets to be listed. Yet v1 still holds the vast majority of liquidity ($500M) versus v2 ($30M). OTOH open interest on v2 is inching closer to v1. @synthetix along with its builders (@Kwenta_io @PolynomialFi) continues to dominate oracle perps by consistently printing $100M+ in daily volume. The big v3 launch promises to expand LPing beyond $SNX and bring Synthetix to new EVM chains (@arbitrum @BuildOnBase). Orderbook perps like @aevoxyz @vertex_protocol @bluefinapp are printing $10M+ volume days. Orderbooks are using the familiarity/speed of their design to list new assets with speed. For ex, @aevoxyz was among the first to list $WLD and $SEI (even before @binance listing). In the @cosmos world, @dYdX remains the perp DEX market leader while the fully decentralized v4 remains imminent. But new entrants like @HyperliquidX are listing new assets with speed and eating market share. Some honorable mentions: - @GainsNetwork_io holds its loyal traders - @muxprotocol LP has grown to $40m! - @WOOnetwork @OrderlyNetwork EVM launch is imminent while they continue to partner with CT's best influencers like @satsdart @donalt So what does all this mean for Rage v2? Well two trends remain clear: 1. There will be many perps and chains 2. DEX perps do ~1% of the volume of CEX perps. There is a 100x opportunity ahead of us! How do we plan to capitalize on this? We solve the liquidity fragmentation issue of DEX perps/chains while onboarding perp traders from CEXs to DEXs. And we will do this by aggregating liquidity across all perps on all chains, while creating a user experience that feels like CEX using Account Abstraction. In simple terms, you can think of us as perp aggregator available across all chains with a CEX UX.
