I know some people think it is egotistical or overly sensitive to care about how coworkers address me at work. It is awesome to be on a close basis with colleagues & call each other by 1st names. But when it happens to you and not the men, year after year, it gets a little old.

@patcariaga I spend a decent amount of time in this area of research so if I find something more concrete or anything that may help I will let you know!

@patcariaga There are strong associations between things like color & sound and how people perceive taste&smell (if you put grape flavor in red candy, for example, people still think it tastes like cherry or strawberry). There may be ways she can lean into visual/auditory cues to help a bit

Today is one year since #COVID19 took my wife Jessica’s taste and smell. She’s tried everything from smell therapy to a TikTok remedy, but is still struggling with it. I know she’d give anything just to smell our 4yr old son & 2yr old daughter. Any suggestions?

A "Tombolo" is where an island is linked to the mainland with a narrow stretch of land, usually gravel or cobbles. Once attached it is known as a tied island. In St Ninians case, #Shetland, it is a stunning sand ayre, making it one of the most spectacular #tomoblos in the world.
