On Amy Johnson’s birthday listen to audio diaries based on her flight records, logbooks, and newspaper reports. Amy was first woman to fly solo from England to Australia. #TwentyDays 90 years ago. 🛩👩✈️ + bbc.co.uk/programmes/p08… w/@amyjohnsonarts #WomenInSTEM #WomenInAviation

A great photo of Amy Johnson and her plane called Jason. It was this month in 1930 she completed the 20 day solo flight from Croydon to Australia. I thoroughly recommend reading the diary she wrote over those 20 days. Incredible. @amyjohnsonarts #twentydays

By the time #AmyJohnson landed in Darwin on 24th May 1930, she was big news all over the world. For the past #TwentyDays the Hull Daily Mail has helped us to tell the story of the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia in her home city. #90thAnniversary
