The gaming news right now is bleak. I am forever a champion of "the glass is half full" but it's just heart break city everywhere you turn 💔😢 So much of it feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater to hit some arbitrary spreadsheet target.

Two full days at Play Days solid 12 hour days on one’s feet and looking after everything. The response really has been incredibly positive. Even better than I thought. Everybody digging the melee and “oh, it’s So Control in many ways”. Yes, it is. Now a 6am wakeup and off to Mexico City while restmof the team does the final day of Play Days.

Y’all know I’m always HUD hunting so this is a bit disappointing for me. But hot damn the pacing has been incredible!

We’re 53 minutes in at Xbox and no HUDs on gameplay. Many games shown are coming in the next 6-9 months, so it must be an artistic choice. Differentiating between real captured gameplay and cinematics or dramatizations is crucial for games near the end of their marketing cycle.

Loved the struggle with that one Locust but it's weird how the other ones (not the 'naked' ones) went down so easy. The tough one didn't seem to be drastically armored different to show that it's a badass. Great rescue and reveal, though. 😀
