@isaacrrr7 It also means your art is probably not good enough to monetize organically.

Javier Milei: “No tengo nada en contra de los artistas. Yo mismo tuve una banda de rock. Mi problema es que si necesitas una subvención del gobierno para hacer arte, ya no eres un artista, eres un empleado público.” Milei es un número uno.

@alex___carter Totally. Speed without quality output isn’t speed at all if you have configure it all anyways.

The Flex design team is redesigning its web experience and I've been building the new design system in Figma with Claude and Desktop Bridge. Thinking I'll share a video of the end-to-end process when everything's done, but it's amazing to see how much better Desktop Bridge is than the vanilla Figma MCP for importing code into Figma components. ✅ Builds components properly ✅ Builds with autolayout ✅ Builds tokens ✅ Builds WITH those tokens ✅ Builds text styles ✅ Builds with EXISTING components in the file Building the new design system from scratch would've taken days of 100% focused effort. Now I'm doing it in between calls. Amazing stuff.

May be a hot take, but Paper releasing new shaders vs. making the tool enterprise-level is a miss. Shaders are a fad. They're cool now. They will fall out of favor for something else, eventually. What designers need is software that best bridges the component to code divide so they can build according to their vision.

@Samuelelliot41 Agreed. Makes it way easier. Still have to go through with a fine-toothed comb, but not having to add tokens to every single component is a god send.

@andy_mcerlean I built a design system in two weeks back when AI wasn’t nearly as popular as it is now. Honestly, AI has made the work so much easier now.

@jayneildalal PMs punting a prototype to you and saying "build this" with no context is bad PM'ing. Instead, the prototype should come with documentation and a walkthrough on the thinking. Should convey: here's why the like it, what's core in their minds, etc.

This is how a top designer deals with PMs who send her vibe coded prototypes and ask her to design that She doesn't get mad. Instead she asks: "What are you trying to communicate to me here?" That one question changes everything A PM sending you vibe coded prototypes is just exchanging ideas. It's not a replacement for design thinking 👀 Christina explains why AI won't replace designers: youtu.be/1qVWJeI9Yec

This is how a top designer decides when to use Figma Make vs Replit vs Cursor Stop asking "which AI design tool is the best?" Instead focus on these questions: - How realistic does this prototype need to be? - Do you care more about speed or polish? - How tight does it need to be with our design system? The answer decides the tool not the other way around 👀 Watch the full video on Sneak Peek: youtu.be/1qVWJeI9Yec Christina shows how the @descript design team decides when to use @figma Make vs @Replit vs @cursor_ai 👇

@skirano Agreed. I was hoping it was going to be Figma's answer to Paper, but alas. It feels like the first launch of Gemini. 10ish minutes to generate screen is nuts. With a good component library, a good designer can just rebuild the screen in half that time.

Figma canvas generation vs MagicPath same prompt. By the time I sent one request to Figma, I had two views and 3 variations of my designs in MagicPath, fully interactive. After 7 mins of waiting for something, I gave up. This is an embarrassing release. Video is 2x speed
