@PieterLValk @TDisputations Failure to make necessary distinctions is either malicious or incompetent. By the way, masturbation is also worse than straight fornication for the same reason.

This is my first time and only time ever doing this. If you are from the land of the free and the home of the brave and if you love this beautiful country, drop a comment and if I don't follow you, I give you my word I will. God bless America.

BREAKING: Bishop Strickland to Pope Leo: "How long will you halt between two masters? If you believe Christ is Lord, then follow Him! If the world is your master, then go to it! But no longer profane His sanctuary while you betray the Cross!”

@88mph121 @Joeinblack At the very least it’s scandalous. Giving the world the impression, especially as a public figure, that you are living with another man carnally is extremely scandalous, and in this case it’s hard to imagine an innocent fraternal interpretation being reasonable

@Joeinblack My only question is, are they repentant and living fraternally rather than carnally, or are they still living in sin? That's an important distinction to consider.

As a priest, it’s not entirely uncommon that we sit with a couple who are in the process of becoming catholic or regularizing their marriage so that they can return to practicing Catholicism. The worst part of it is explaining to them that they can’t go to communion until the process is complete. The church leaves no room for anyone in the process of conversion when it comes to marriages in their distant past. I obey the church on the topic, but it truly breaks my heart. All over the country are hundreds, maybe thousands of couples who are in the process of becoming catholic or getting their marriage regularized, but they can’t go to communion. Maybe they should all just say they’re gay?

NEW: Openly gay ABC News anchor Gio Benitez joins the Catholic church with his husband serving as his sponsor. Benitez says his confirmation mass at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan was inspired by the late Pope Francis. "My deepest gratitude to Fr. Eric Andrews, Fr. James Martin, Fr. Paul Rospond, and Fr. Chris Lawton for showing me that God’s loving mercy is unconditional..." he said on IG. "And [thanks] to my incredible husband and sponsor Tommy DiDario for supporting me through it all." Video: @Protestia

I never suggested it was my story. It’s a very common story though. Mine was more like: 1. I was Catholic 2. I held an opinion or had an attachment to a habitual sin that the church forbids, and out of pride and lack of obedience, and with no regard to the veracity of the Church’s claims 3. I became an atheist 4. I lived a debaucherous life and found myself in a living hell 5. Jesus reached out a touched me 6. I became “Christian” in a vague sense 7. Through study, prayer, and research repented and rejoined the true Church 8. I am Catholic again

Last night I met a group of converts. All of their stories had the same basic shape: 1. I was Protestant 2. I learned about history 3. I became Catholic Now I wonder about the stories in the other direction: 1. I was Catholic 2. ??? 3. I became Protestant

Tucker said he was mauled by a demon, leaving blood and scratches on him. WEIRD! What’s going on here? Maybe he’s LYING. Maybe a demon really attacked him, in which case WHERE’S THE DEMON NOW? Or maybe there was no demon, and Tucker had a PSYCHOTIC episode. Thoughts?

@kuhigid @micky45089 @saintathanasia I’m just saying it’s wrong. They are of course free to do it. But it’s just as wrong if it’s someone I know and care about than someone I don’t know.
