I'm hoping a 6% stock drop and a brutal social media cycle don't convince Ferrari's board that the EV bet was a mistake. That would be a real loss. Ferrari has built what looks like the most advanced performance electric platform in the industry, and the only reason it’s wrapped in a 5-seat, 4-door sedan right now is weight. As battery cell energy density climbs, and we’re seeing real gains with the latest generation of cells shipping right now, the same architecture in a true Ferrari sports car becomes feasible. That’s the car a lot of these critics actually want, and Ferrari is closer to building it than ever.
Electrek.co@ElectrekCo

Ferrari (RACE) shares dropped 6.27% on Tuesday, wiping out roughly £3 billion in market cap, a day after the unveiling of its first all-electric car. Online reaction was overwhelmingly negative toward the Luce, with the design compared to a Honda Accord, an Apple minivan, and a luxury toaster.

Totally wild thinking about where FSD was in January 2024 when I had V11, vs where it is today less than 2.5 years later on 14.3.3. Using it back then was far more stressful than just driving yourself. Made tons of mistakes during every drive and embarrassed you almost every time you used it. Just a party trick and beta tech. Fast forward 2.5 years to the current moment I am living. Crossing multiple states on V14.3.3, 150 miles into a 250 mile ride. Not only have I had no reason to touch the controls, but the fact that I even have to supervise feels like a total joke at this point on fair weather days. As a heavy user, I am 100% certain that FSD V14.3.3 has a higher probability of getting me from A to B more safely than I’d get there driving myself. With or without me watching the road. That is real right now, and what I live with right now. You could 100% have your laptop out working the entire time. Watch a movie. Be on your phone. They have literally achieved this already and are just being overly cautious about removing the nag/supervision requirement. But the tech is shipped. Totally unbelievable experience watching this thing play out over the last 2.5 years. @Tesla_AI Keep pushing. You’ve done the thing, and with a little more grinding, the entire world will know. And the lives saved counter will go parabolic, and it will continue indefinitely, far longer than any of us will be alive for. You’ve legit deleted one of the leading causes of preventable death. Can’t think of a better thing to spend your life working on. Keep pushing.

Just dropped my 2026 model Y performance off at Tesla Service Center for obvious vibration starting around 75 mph and progressively getting worse up to 85 mph. Has anybody else experienced this. My loaner is a 26 Model 3 standard range and I’m feeling a similar shake in the steering wheel around those speeds

The human-operated automobile is a mass murderer. There are plenty of amazing drivers who don’t get into accidents, but if you analyze the human-driven automobile as one single unit and look at how many people it kills, it is obvious that the human operated automobile is a mass murderer. Humanity has invented a solution. It’s surprising how few people care about this today. Really only those who have watched a mother lose her child, a child lose their mother, or have had some friend or relative get killed or physically altered for life by automobile. Driving is a common part of modern life, so it’s hard to think about it this way unless it has ruined your life or someone close to you. But all you need to do is look at statistics to know that the human driven automobile is a mass murderer and life ruiner at a very major scale. I’ve known a few people who have died via automobile accident. It’s crazy. I remember one day I was taking a piss at a urinal next to one of them. Young guy with three kids and a wife. The next day I found out him and his wife were struck and killed on their way home from a dinner date by some young driver who was texting and drifted into their lane. His kids were all teenagers and now have no parents. Just like that. Totally healthy normal guy living life on a Tuesday morning, gone Tuesday night forever. We have a technology now that can make stories like this disappear. Most people don’t care because it’s out of site and out of mind. And I get that actually. It’s hard to feel pain for everything painful in life. It’s impossible. But the faster we adopt AV’s, the faster these stories will be a thing of the past. It’s not a major sacrifice. It’s not a sacrifice at all. It’s actually a major luxury and enhances your life significantly while also contributing to ending a mass murderer and life ruining machine. You should consider helping out

Get a CAC score test. It’s like 150 bucks without insurance and can save your life. I got one recently after my dad (thin, active dude, 66) had an off the charts score and his doctors told him he was likely developing plaque for decades. Found out that I too am unfortunately in the early stages of heart disease at age 35. Extremely active and healthy. Cardiologist told me it’s genetic. My dad probably saved my life. My life habits will change forever because of it, and I will monitor closely with a cardiologist for the rest of my life vs finding out via heart attack sometime later in life. Broke me at first, but got surprisingly very easy very quickly. Humans have a great way of adjusting and locking in. Just another thing teaming up with time to take me out. Gonna fuck em both up for as long as possible and will go out with an ear to ear grin on my face because life is awesome and we’re all extremely lucky to get to live it. Please don’t be a little bitch. Take care of yourself and if you get hit with something tough, hit back and keep crushing it. There are no other options. Be the best until the last second.
Michael Caporale@SurrealBlend

Last year, at 34, I found out I had a CAC score of 213. That means I had visible, calcified plaque in the arteries around my heart. I ranked in roughly the 94th percentile for my age. I wasn’t obese. I wasn’t eating fast food every day. I wasn’t ignoring my health. I lifted. I ran my first half marathon. I ate well. I tracked bloodwork. I worked with a doctor. By most external measures, I looked like someone who was on top of things. But that wasn’t always my story. For much of my teens and twenties, I struggled with weight, stress, alcohol, poor sleep, and the usual bad decisions you assume you can outrun later. And for a while, it seemed like I had. I got the scan expecting a 0. I thought it would be reassurance. Instead, it changed the entire direction of my life. Here’s the story behind why I dove head-first into building Hemo…

@ntbrown01 @SeedOilDsrspctr I mean I’ve probably consumed seed oils but likely at a much lower dose than the average person. I don’t think there’s any scientific evidence correlating consumption of seed oils with early onset calcified plaque

Raw leafy greens are FAR more dangerous than raw milk. Before you freak out, look at these numbers... Raw leafy greens: 32 lbs per person per year leafy greens consumed by Americans (USDA). 90g/serving = 161 servings per year per person. 330 million Americans x 161 servings/year = 53B servings of leafy greens per year in the US. 2.3 million cases of foodborne illness from leafy greens (CDC data). = 1 illness per 23,000 servings/year. Raw Milk: 14.4 million raw milk drinkers in US (4.4% of US population). 3.3 million "frequent/regular" raw milk consumers. 3.3 m x 52 servings/year (1 per week avg) = 171.6 million servings (lowball). 120-300 cases foodborne illness from raw milk (CDC data). = 1 illness per 572,000 servings raw milk. This means that eating raw leafy greens is 25x more dangerous than raw milk on an illness/serving basis. Should raw leafy greens be illegal? No, but we need to be honest about the relative risks here. Why drink raw milk in the first place? There are multiple studies that show raw milk (vs pasteurized) is associated with lower rates of asthma, eczema, and allergies (PMIDs: 31770653, 22146591, 34472138, 30813365). Raw milk also increases lactobacillus populations in the gut ( PMID 32438623), is associated with improved lung function into adulthood (PMC5758444). Does raw milk carry a risk of illness? Yes, as do ALL raw foods - raw leafy greens, raw fish, and other raw vegetables. Sourcing for raw milk is critical if you choose to drink it. And no, drinking raw milk does not make you conservative, this has nothing to do with your politics. This is about honest consideration of a (incorrectly) vilified food that humans have consumed for thousands of years.

Except it isn’t. Dayspring argued with me over this that Daniel Steinberg’s seminal research showing oxidation of the polyunsaturated fatty acids in the LDL particle membrane is *the* central mechanism driving its accumulation in atherosclerotic plaque is “outdated” because “LDL aggregability” is an independent driver of macrophage uptake. Steinberg died a few years ago. But he was #3 just below Brown and Goldstein in LDL receptor fame and he chaired the 1984 NIH Consensus Conference that solidified the consensus that LDL-C “causes” heart disease, and his lab’s work laid out the central mechanism by which LDL particles wind up in plaque. The problem with Dayspring’s argument is that a) oxidation itself is a major driver of LDL aggregability and b) the other major driver is the ratio of choline to saturated fat, which just happens to also be a major determinant of fatty liver disease. The reality is every mechanism through which LDL particles wind up in plaques is completely separable from their concentration. There are zero drugs and zero clinical trials that can distinguish between the impact of concentration versus the impact of oxidation. This is a MECHANISTIC claim, not an “outcomes” claim so you MUST rely on mechanistic research to answer the question. On this mechanistic claim about concentration being the driver, Steinberg’s graph from 1983 remains undefeated, shown below. The range at which macrophage uptake of non-oxidized particles (bottom line) plateaus is massively below the physiological range, below an ApoB of 5 or an LDL-C of 7. Meanwhile, oxidation (top line) causes a 5-fold increase. So at physiological concentrations, concentration is irrelevant and oxidation is paramount.

Peter Attia sums it rather succinctly: "Atherosclerosis is driven by the number of apoB-containing particles in circulation, and that relationship holds regardless of how or why those particles are elevated." Here's your statin. peterattiamd.com/there-is-no-sa…

3 months ago my cardiologist told me that I needed to go on statins NO MATTER WHAT He was wrong. I’m living proof. I share my story in case it might help others who find themselves in a similar situation 👇 (And please note I’m not here to say all modern medicine is a scam, but doctors don’t always have your best interests or individual situation in mind) First the number: > 203 < Note I didn’t say numberS They literally diagnosed me based on my LDL “bad cholesterol” of 203 mg/dL alone Because if it is > 190mg/dL they automatically assume it’s genetics, and they call it Familial Hypercholesterolemia The problem is that they don’t actually run a test to confirm They don’t even ask about your diet (which you’ll soon see what the primary driver for my high cholesterol) So my doctor told me I needed to IMMEDIATELY go on a heavy dose of 80mg of Rosuvastatin combined with Ezetimibe and he made sure to tell me I’d be ON THESE PILLS FOR LIFE And he used scare tactics saying that there wasn’t a moment to lose But the worst part of it was that he even said my 5 kids should be tested and they may also need to be put on statins (my wife thought this part was aggressive) But the one good thing about healthcare is that you don’t have to always listen to your doctor Always be your own advocate And listen to your gut if something doesn’t seem right So I told them I’m going to take 3 months and then another lipid panel before I signed up for the big pharma for life track My daily regimen included: - 6g beta-glucans (1c. oats or bran) - 5g psyllium husk - Lots of plant sterols (e.g. moringa leaves from my yard) - 6oz. salmon - whole grains and legumes - 30 minutes of cardio - 30 minutes of strength training - Drastically reduced my saturated fat intake - ZERO ALCOHOL (duh) My wife can attest to my religious, borderline superstitious, adherence to the plan And now 3 months later I am proud to say that I successfully halved my LDL to 105 mg/dL from “Very High” to only a touch above “Desirable” My total cholesterol is down over 30% and both my HDL and Triglycerides improved favorably Now I’m no doctor, but all signs point to my cholesterol being a result of my sustained keto diet and me being a LMHR (“Lean Mass Hyper Responder”) phenotype. I hope that this reaches a few people in a similar boat. I’m happy to share specifics for anyone who would find this helpful. Shoot me a DM if you’d like to chat or share your situation below if you’re willing Stay healthy 𝕏! 🖤
