Virtua Fighter is one of the greatest games of my life. When I was a kid, one of the items on my bucket list was to have an original Virtua Fighter arcade machine at home. As I got deeper into collecting arcade games, I eventually acquired the Model 1, Model 2, and Model 3 boards that powered the Virtua Fighter series. Unlike most arcade hardware, these systems are incredibly large and complex, which made it difficult to enjoy them properly. I’m probably the only crazy person in the world who would build something like this. 😆 I always wanted to create a setup that would let me use them more conveniently, and after years of planning, I finally built a Model board selector. Out of all the custom projects I’ve made, this is the one I’m most attached to, and it’s also the one I use the most. A lot of people ask how I built it or whether I’d be willing to sell one, but it’s extremely complicated to make and surprisingly expensive. Because of that, I’ve only ever built a single unit. I’m probably the only crazy person in the world who would build something like this.

Here's a tip if you use centralized exchanges. As soon as your withdrawals > deposits, you'll get locked out. Any profits that you want to materialize will flag you for extra "verification". Common practice on most tier 2 and below exchanges.

In Korea, there weren’t any dedicated Neo Geo arcade cabinets, so I didn’t realize until much later that you could actually select from multiple games like this. It feels like this system was designed less for large arcade centers and more for smaller venues that only had one or two machines but wanted to offer a variety of games. Come to think of it, it might actually be a great choice to have at home even today.
