CMO Delhi@CMODelhi

Union Minister Giriraj Singh highlighted the government’s plan to expand the scope of the PLI scheme for textiles, focusing on segments like man-made fibres and technical textiles. The move is expected to drive investments, boost competitiveness, and strengthen India’s presence in global textile value chains. It's a travesty, that's what it is! This warm shikanji or whatever strange concoction in a packet they have created doesn't deserve to be called #Kahwa! Both Girnar and WaghBakri need to cease and desist! #NotKahwa

I’m aware this declaration may result in immediate disciplinary proceedings, but I must report that this tea bag from Girnar is quite magnificent. I can’t swear to the botanical integrity of its contents. It probably contains three molecules of tea and an assembly of spices. But the thing is joyous. And entirely without the self-seriousness that ruins most beverages. With heroic cheek, they call it Detox Desi Kahwa. It’s anti-Kahwa. What it truly is is warm shikanji in disguise. I drink it shamelessly. I now await developments. @KaviBhansali (who maintains that the words tea and bag, when caught fraternising, should be separated by law) will no doubt convene a tribunal. And @PragyaTiwari will draft a slim and fatal essay titled On the Decline of Standards, in which I feature as Exhibit A.

@girirajsinghbjp @RahulGandhi There is misinformation campaign being spread about Zero duty advantage to B’desh. It is tied up with use of American cotton which is also available to India as well . Further with higher cost of American cotton and Logitics cost , it’s not worth the duty saved .

Mr. @RahulGandhi , as usual, is spreading misinformation without understanding the facts. The reality is that India has secured a much better and more balanced trade arrangement with the US compared to many of our competing countries — a deal designed holistically to support industry growth while safeguarding the interests of our farmers. India’s cotton export story is stronger and more diversified than ever. Also, We are not dependent on just one market. Today, India’s textiles export has registered growth in more than 100+ countries, reflecting resilience, competitiveness, and global trust in our textile value chain. With continuous progress on FTAs with the EU, UK, New Zealand, Oman and other strategic partners, new opportunities are opening up for our exporters across multiple geographies. Market access expansion means risk diversification, better price realization, and stronger long-term growth for farmers, ginners, spinners, and textile manufacturers. While some focus on a single-market narrative, the bigger picture is clear — under the leadership of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, India has expanded free trade textiles access to more than 58 new markets with export potential of $470 billion for our exporters along with strong access to $120 billion US textiles market, strengthening our global trade footprint. @BJP4India

#FarmersFirst 🇮🇳

Since the #mumbaipunehighway has been in the news recently for the crazy jams and delays(last Tuesday people were stuck between 15-30 hours when a truck carrying inflammable materials over-turned), I decided to take the sane advice of my husband (for a change LOL) and take the train instead of a car. Had a comfortable journey on the #deccanqueen this evening to #punecity .Since it was getting dark there wasn't much to see outside. Hence the #vistadome was a waste 😅Also this is a designated "tourist coach" which is cut off from the rest of the train including the pantry coach. Hence the service is sketchy and leaves much to be desired. Very little snacks and pre-mixed tea and coffee are available on payment, that too only at Karjat. Nonetheless, worth it. Train reached on time.I could stretch my legs and saved them from getting stiff which is often a concern for me in long car journeys,especially in view of my recent knee trouble. #trains

In #Hindi feature films of 1950s,one came across phrases such as "ek phooti kaudi nahi doonga", "ek dhela nahi milega" or "ek pie nahi milegi tumhe". All these #Indian #coins and #currencies were already out of circulation post independence,but the usage of the terms dhela, kaudi and pie didn't die out as fast as the currency. Post independence we got the paisa, anna and rupaiya (rupee) coins. Remember the famous #KishoreKumar - @ashabhosle duet from the 1958 film #ChaltiKaNaamGaadi? "Panch rupaiya,barah anna, Marega bhaiyya, na na na na..."🪙💸🎵🎶🎼😄
