#Nigeria like other countries in #Africa and around the #Globe sees its share of Foreign Direct Investments (#FDI) from multinationals, foreign businesses and foreigners coming into Nigeria to work and do business. I wrote this for @Kabbizlegal Thread below🧵

The way I’m gradually dumping my commercial bank for these fintech banks ehn. PalmPay is like the definition of smart bank. While I was trying to sub on DSTV, it brought out my former subscription and asked if I wanted to resub. Commercial bank can never can! Recharging electricity nko; e easy diee

I made a comment on this, and now people are attacking me. This is the reality of life and some things are better avoided than applauded. When a female child reaches a certain age, there are boundaries that should exist in her interactions with her father or around him. Not because the father is a pedophile, but because a child’s brain is still developing. If certain behaviors are normalized, the child may grow up thinking they are acceptable and may not be able to speak up later, simply because her developing mind cannot properly distinguish what is appropriate and what is not. I have said my piece. This is not normal, and it should not be applauded.

a university banning baggy trouser in 2026 is a power dynamic of abuse rather than discipline. 10 years ago, school authorities were forcing us(kids), banning slim fitted pants for us to wear the same baggy pants they’re against now. make it make sense.

@osemagnum Nah. The moment he started sketching the first eye socket I said, "Michael Jackson". But the end results, even though of Michael, ends up looking more like Joseph Jackson.

If it’s not that Nigerian Police are mad Tell me why you’re stopping a citizen and telling him to provide the receipt of a laptop he bought 2 years ago Like he should be walking around with the receipt anytime he’s with the laptop

@mylifeasjola Lol. Sensational posts like this meant to rile y'all emotions up are for one reason only: Elon Musk's monthly payout. You sharing it and engaging with it is you helping them earn more. It's a no-brainer, literally.

@lidocaine_v2 Supposedly band A here, and we have hardly seen up to 4hrs light cumulatively for the past 3 weeks. They increased tariff by almost 400% but can't be decent enough to stick to their own promise. Adebayo Adelabu would win a contest landslide, celebrating failures in the country.

NEPA really just plunged the entire country into darkness for weeks without any explanation or cares given. No harmattan to even bail the citizens out. Everywhere is just hot and irritating.

@elnathan_john Whenever comments like these are made and one goes through the CS one begins to wonder how we have so many comment perfect humans in Nigeria yet Nigeria reflects imperfections. Are we only good at saying nice things but evil in actions. Are we cowards or hypocrites?

Not a single one. It is not even just that cities are unwalkable. It is also that Nigerians have come to associate walking with poverty, and despise it. I always tell the story of how, a few months after my first novel came out in Abuja and I was enjoying the response it received from Nigerians especially, someone tweeted, I saw that Elnathan trekking in Abuja. Big writer but does not have car. And below the tweet people were mocking me for trekking in Abuja. Because it was not just walking. It was trekking, a word that takes a normal human activity and turns it into a moral wrong, an evil thing only wretched people do. In fact, as a car owner try walking somewhere and people you know who drive past might stop and ask you if everything is ok. Because if everything is ok, why are you trekking? 🤣🤣🤣

@elnathan_john Our weather condition doesn't support walking. Western weather conditions favour walking. You can walk to the office without breaking a sweat, but that's not obtainable here. All your sweat pores would be dripping mad by the time you reach your walk place.

@Mochievous Never get an EV in Lagos. For what, kwanụ? Get a high-strung SUV that can wade through water easily and you're good. But flee from RR, abeg — they're more trouble than they're worth.
