@Davis_TheMann @DastDn If we were helping Russia take the Donbas, they'd be in Berlin by now.
English

@DastDn If the US doesn't want Russia to gain power in Europe, it shouldn't be helping it take control of the Donbas.
English

@NewKennethOMars @THE_47th If only there was some natural choke point that would allow us to either intercede or disable these ships. Some sort of ...strait.
English

@THE_47th I would suggest, the US only needs to block ships coming from and to Kharg island.
English

The US doesn’t need to keep escalating with bigger bombs. It can just make escalation unbearably expensive to Iran.
Just make it clear to IRGC:
Every time you hit a tanker in Hormuz, we'll oblirate 10% if your oil/gas export capacity for 5-10 years.
You hit a port , you lose 2 ports
You escalate again, Kharg goes, oil revenue goes with it
At some point, Iranians will have to worry about the day after.
I don’t think people, including the IRGC, fully grasp how bad things are right now for Iran. Even pre war:
Rial was down ~90%
20–30% malnutrition
A regime already struggling to provide power & manage its own population
Reports now saying central bank out of hard currency, ATMs out of cash, supply chains are in shambles. Iran is literally crumbling from within. IRGC needs to understand that the more they escalate, the more they dominish their chances of surviving post war.
Iran was already dying slow prewar by a thousand cuts. Show them you can turn that into five thousand cuts a week.

@HeywoodFloyd10 @gak_pdx Is their entire contribution just land for us to make bases on? Don't get me wrong that is significant but even a 3rd world nation like Djibouti or Somaliland can contribute that. One would expect a more meaningful contribution.
English

@gak_pdx Try projecting U.S. airpower in the middle east and Africa without UK bases.
English

Oh no, we might lose access to 2 whole deployable battalions of infantry, 7 outdated tanks, and a single deployable frigate!

The US is considering cutting all defense deals with the UK and France.
English

@NickPinkston @mattparlmer Tbh kinda seems incompetent to not cover it with at least a tarp. Or maybe this is just a misdirection and they actually moved it in various separate vans.
English

@mattparlmer At this point, the Iranians seem more competent than our government, so maybe they should have nukes.
Instead we can curb their excesses through trade and diplomacy.
But I guess that won't work because diplomacy is less profitable for our oligarchs.
English

@BratiTano @akoz33 We can completely destroy Iran as a nation state. What we can't do is prevent them from doing the same to our allies in the region. Who is Europe going to retaliate against? Canada?
English

@Ends_wolf @JoeySalads What is true is that because Europe is only focused on European defense they lack the capability to project power outwards which means they are not a reliable ally.
English

@Ends_wolf @JoeySalads This is so fucking retarded I can't believe anyone would seriously post this. It has been long understood that in the face of a serious threat to Europe the US would reposition its assets. It's not as if our destroyers can't sail north.
English

The UK and France are about to lose their Free Healthcare.

@sibune_lnz @fitnessfeelingz Yeah I mean the urging is going to come through prices.
English

@fitnessfeelingz People should do this. But it should not be forced. Urging is not forcing.
English

Extremely bad. If these policies are successfully trialed in Europe, hard to imagine they won’t spread to the USA under dem rule.

@livlovyou @crazy4material It's our fault we didn't colonize you and grant you statehood so you could benefit from our trade policies and economic power?

@FlippedGears If they are in their own country how are they minorities? The LatAm fans mostly seem to be people living in their native countries. They are in that cause the majority.
English

@Shroommite234 @sebitamathias @sticspace It's always been the norm in English. Also in Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Indian etc etc etc.
English

@sebitamathias @sticspace Normarly when people say "Americans" they are speaking about the persons from the USA
Its a bit strange but it became the norm
English

After seeing this, I just realized how Americans truly deserves not getting an official Localization and translation of Mother 3 :/

@shedletskysimp @carterboro23319 @crazy4material You are literally speaking a white European language. Nobody is making your tongue feel informal except your own inferiority complex. In fact in the US it's considered a romantic language same as French or Italian are. Maybe a bit less so.
English

@crazy4material and its literally the usa fault but nobody is ready for this conversation

@Saurya @IASAIV @DeepDishEnjoyer @tokenpilled65B Ignore space ambitions. One could argue that they could just use Russian or Chinese or even Indian rockets. The real issue is that it's their only means of defense and retaliation against Israel. We may as well ask them to give up their sovereignty.
English

@IASAIV @DeepDishEnjoyer @tokenpilled65B Requesting that Iran give up ballistic missiles is crazy. They're pretty ordinary 20th century tech and nerfing those kills any space ambitions. Why would any country do this
English

iran's conditions for opening up the strait is _not_ simply the toll booth and _not_ simply for us to "stop attacking", it's far more comprehensive and something we'll never do
burgger@neilkli
@DeepDishEnjoyer you actually do though... pay iran $10 a barrel, price goes down $30 a barrel, everyone wins
English

@realtimeai Obviously the Gulf states won't like it but not much they can do.
English

@realtimeai I think Iran would still try to impose a toll. I guess maybe it could be negotiated that the "toll" shall exist until Iran receives its "reparations". I've heard such toll could be as much as a 100 billion a year. So if it's lowered it should be temporary for a couple years.
English

It’s weird that people don’t think the U.S. can just pack up and leave.
Iran *could have been bombing Hormuz* any time they wanted.
If the U.S. just leaves, all international pressure moves to Iran to just start getting back to business.
Oil is a commodity.
