Appshots + Figma: Refer right next to where you do magic with pixels

I’m deleting Behance and Dribbble.
I used to open them for design inspo.
Now? They feel like empty galleries.
Too polished. Too staged.
Dribbble and Behance feel like a loop of:
• Fancy shots
• Unrealistic UIs
• Popularity contests
No usability. No context. No real feedback.
Even Pinterest shows the same over-designed stuff—
But here’s the difference:
The algorithm learns fast.
It gives me everything from brutalism to clean UI kits to real product pages.
Way more diverse. Less gatekeeping. No clout chasing.
My current inspo stack:
• Pinterest
• Mobbin
• 60fps
• Awwwards
• Cosmos (for image inspo)
• X
And LinkedIn, that’s probably next.
2 years of posting—zero clients.
Started on X—and the results are wild.
Right now, X is my top client magnet.
(Still exploring backups—can’t rely on just one.)
What platforms gave you the least value?
Which ones changed your game?
Let’s compare notes👇

@donovanbonnerr @spottedinprod Our new iOS would be doing that + few other things. Stay tuned.

I want to build an app so polished that it gets posted by @spottedinprod

We believe every app featured on appshots deserves its spotlight. This new detail screen is just the beginning.
Sanal@designersanal
Just pushed a new detail screen live on @appshotsdesign. Big kudos to @sooryagangaraj & Saeed Salam for bringing an ambitious design to life — they wrangled a mountain of new data and made it feel clean, fast, and instantly insightful. We reworked the layout to surface form factor, ratings, and AI insights (currently in private beta). We believe every app featured on Appshots deserves a proper hero section before diving into screens. Soon, we’ll be layering in richer context like team, awards, and revenue — as we continue collecting accurate data. #buildinpublic #maker #wip #DesignInspiration

@BrettFromDJ @mobbin Try these too:
-@thecosmos : branding
-@appshotsdesign : ux/ui design
-@seesawsite: landing pages
English

@maxvidalinc @mobbin Fair point! But if you want inspo right inside Figma, give our plugin a shot.
English

Lazy to search for inspiration...
@Mobbin is a very good tool to find inspiration for creating and building applications.
English

@crisbosch @mobbin Yeah, that’s true! But if you want design inspiration right inside Figma — where you probably spend most of your day — give our Figma plugin a try.
English

Is subscribing to @mobbin really worth it?
Here’s my calculus.
I’m subscribing now because an app that a client mentioned as a benchmark is listed there. It will cut my time in researching this app by 80%. And I can cover the cost for their lowest tier plan (quarterly) in less than an hour of my design rate.
So, it’s a no brainer.
English

@notcodesid @mobbin Yeah, that’s true! But if you want design inspiration right inside Figma — where you probably spend most of your day — give our Figma plugin a try.
