I was so excited about my first-ever #MathsConf35 experience that I signed up to present my own workshop. I can't wait to share how I've used mathswhiteboard.com this year to motivate my low-ability students. I'm also looking forward to networking with so many amazing people, thanks to @LaSalleEd.

@MathsSecondary One of my students told me today and said that she worked out her score after watching the video. Kind of takes away from results day, doesn't it?

Heard from students today that there are already worked solutions to paper 1 from Thursday on tiktok, am I old and ignorant to be somewhat surprised and quite outraged by that?

Anyone have Edexcel paper 1's that they can send me? Our exam officer won't let us see them until 24 hours after.

@adamboxer1 Or, if you don't want to exclude, why not just build in a silent reflection time? Mumslin students can use it to pray, other students can use it to reflect, meditate etc? Wouldn't that be of benefit to mental health? I don't get why this can't be an option?

This does not sit well with me at all. I don't understand why you can't just have a prayer room? >

@runningstitch I teach it using a proportion table. It promotes a better understanding of the relationship between distance and time. Students quickly understand that they need to find the distance travelled in 1 time unit and work from there. Also stops nonsense like 50 mins is 0.5hr.

I HATE FORMULA TRIANGLES! Please never ever teach them. (And this is top set! And this didn't come from me)
