Here’s a solution to the Volpe dilemma. Can he play the OF or 3B?? Usually a lot of SS’s in high school and the minors move onto other defensive positions. If you’re athletic enough to play SS, then you should be athletic enough to play every other position.

@risucci_rick Every time I mention moving Jazz to CF where her played in Miami 2023 & 2024 people say I’m crazy. I’d love to try that at least as an experiment for a few games and play Caballero at 2B. We all know that the golden child is going to play shortstop when he’s ready.

Next thing is to bench Grisham. The decision is this: Move Cody to CF fulltime Put Dominguez in LF OR Leave Cody in LF Fulltime Put S Jones or Dominguez in LF Dominguez: better contact, weak defense. Jones: better power, much better defence, less contact.

Volpe should have to earn his spot. He’s done nothing in his career that makes him able to just walk into the Yankee clubhouse and immediately get a starting role. Me personally I would just let him continue to play in AAA and if he starts playing well then maybe you call him up. But it’s caballeros job right now

@MissYankee I would love to see Grisham benched. For at least a while. When Volpe comes back, even for one game as an experiment, play Caballero at 2nd and try Jazz in CF. He played CF 2023 & 2024 in Miami.

Attn: Boone and Cashman: Don't touch anything on the team and that means leaving Caballero at SS. If it's not broken..don't fix it. This team is meshing and has a very positive vibe. Just add better bullpen pieces...that's it.

@JohnMChell @jktrotter @StreetsblogNYC Driving 36 MPH on roads like Hylan Blvd is not at all egregious. There are cameras everywhere on SI. As long as the summonses are being paid the city is happy. The city should really be cracking down on the real dangerous drivers all over the city but no revenue in doing that.

Frank I spoke with and had good conversation with @jktrotter @StreetsblogNYC on this story and I took a different stance and had a few questions and comments: -This is a lot of summons , no doubt. -How did the speeds breakdown? They were all over 10mph. 36mph in a 25mph? Is this truly reckless? They were all camera summons. They will get back. -If they prove to me the speeds were excessive then as a resident of SI I will concede. -Are these summons all paid - yes they are. Off duty, paid them all. I get them from time to time and I’m not a speeder. - How do we know he was driving? Can’t prove but most likely the majority. This is the world of video and proof we live in. - Why are there so many speed cameras in SI? Money grab? If not money grab why is speed in school zone plan active 24 hours a day? - Why is super reckless drivers not being prosecuted for misdemeanors. Few nights in jail and lose your car will fix this. I will have further discussions with them when they get back to me. @NYPDnews @nypost @NYCPBA

This morning I read the disturbing news that Officer James Giovansanti of my local NYPD precinct (120th) is the second most reckless driver in NYC, with more than 500 speeding tickets since 2022. Not one Staten Island elected has commented. All of this is unacceptable. (1/2)

@JohnMChell Driving 36 MPH on Hylan Blvd south of Tysens Lane is not at all egregious…but it makes money for the city and Staten Islanders actually pay the fines so it will never change.

Question? If you receive a camera summons for driving 36mph in a 25mph- is this being reckless?

@jktrotter At least his plate is not covered like most of the drivers who speed around Staten Island. Also, going 35 MPH on Hylan Blvd is not egregious.
