I did it. I created a workflow of Claude Code to > Storybook > back to Figma as tokens/components without overwriting existing components. All ran with a custom plugin. Every component stays bi-directionally in sync! Cannot wait for Figma to solve this natively.

Okay, sharing some insights for all you young designers, or even those with titles like “senior” or “lead”. It’s not criticism, it’s feedback, so keep reading. We’ve been hiring designers for the past 2 months—not because we haven’t found any, but it felt right to scale now, as we’ve built from the bottom, got internal stuff in order, and it’s really flowing. Here are 5 things I’ve noticed in every single portfolio we’ve reviewed, including the ones we hired: 1. No clue what layout is. This is so common; nobody really knows how to use layout—doesn’t matter which one, even a completely made-up one, but have some, please. 2. Hierarchy. This one is crucial. I’ve seen so many websites, mobile apps, or brands, but when it comes to simple typography hierarchy and logic, only about 3 people out of 500 (both X and LinkedIn) seemed to understand its importance. 3. Content strategy. I know this isn’t entirely the designer’s job, but man, think about what’s important and what’s not. 4. Experience, really? I’ve seen at least 50 people I’d consider beginners—not even junior—with “senior” as their title. It’s not hate, but be considerate about your experience and don’t oversell; it will backfire easily. 5. Pricing. Man, this is a topic itself, but I’ve seen it all—from people doing epic shit charging 100 EUR to people doing literally shit charging 200+. I’m not sure if they were just trying their luck with us paying such salary, but damn, I felt crazy watching it over and over, while we work with senior designers on various projects charging 100-200 EUR and producing epic shit. Like I said, it’s not hate—just think about it. I know if there’s demand… but you know.
