I'm one of the few members of Congress who has been on an H-1B visa back when processing times to transition to a green card weren’t nearly as bad—and it still took 17 years to become a citizen. We must pass the Eagle Act for all those who have waited too long for a green card.

@AlexNowrasteh The intent is awful but here's the kicker-making him wait doesn't even serve the purpose of the intent. He was here regardless. The only beneficiaries are lawyers like me who get to process the periodic visa renewals and the DHS bureaucrats who get paid to shuffle the paperwork.
