@Paddock_Prince We continue to enjoy runners thriving with Age & Foundation. The fans love this. Not great to see = 2-3yr olds being rushed to a May triple crown that’s outdated, getting Foundational injuries, never making it to 4-5 yr old racing or beyond. Not great to see & prime for change.

Fun Fact- I spread some of my grandpa’s ashes on the Churchill Downs track before the 2012 Kentucky Derby on my bachelor trip 😎 Just a tiny vile of it. Right before CA horse I’ll Have Another brought another one home for CA.

In memory of why I was blessed to be born in San Diego CA, a big military town, and in close striking range to Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Santa Anita, and Hollywood Park. All better than Disneyland or Universal Studios or Legoland.

After calling 2.5 races @ShenandoahDowns yesterday I visited @HarrahsPHL this Super Sunday. In doing that I’ve now officially attended 50 Horse Racing Tracks. My Golden Jubilee of race attendance. I have too much time on my hands 😆

As we go through the final weeks of TVG/FanDuel TV's on-track production (with some exceptions), my sympathies are for so many of the on-air and behind the scenes employees who will lose their jobs. Looking back over the 27 years TVG/FanDuel has been on the air, there are so many talented hosts/analysts/handicappers that almost seem like family to me, because they've been in my living room, office and kitchen at all hours of the day and night. It's going to be very sad and weird when their voices are silenced and FanDuel TV is no longer an option to watch the races. We have options today to watch races and get results that we didn't have 50 years ago when I became a fan, but it's going to be a major adjustment for me (and I suspect others) as FanDuel TV soon reduces production work and eventually disappears. An example from today of their good work was the @JoaquinJaime_ interview at Santa Anita with jockey agent @MATT_NAK - which provided some insights into how Nakatani is handling @flothejock's business between California and Kentucky. He also gave an update on @umbyrispoli and his rehabilitation from a serious injury sustained in January. Joaquin started out after college as a researcher at TVG and has advanced to be an exceptional on-air reporter. I hope his talents find a home in horse racing. He's just one of many men and women at TVG/ FanDuel who have fed our hunger for horse racing information and entertainment since 1999. FanDuel TV's departure is going to leave a massive void in a declining industry that already was facing substantial challenges. Thoroughbred racing's structure (or lack thereof) makes it difficult to mount a meaningful reaction to the impending death of FanDuel TV. It took significant outside investment to make TVG happen, and I don't see anyone stepping up with the capital needed for a successor.

@jimrome @JakePeavy_22 Nobody on the mound competed like Peavy competed. Nobody. I was a pitcher so I got it. And I matched it. Love Peavy. Great teammate too.

"Your body language, to the other side, certainly better not show. I'm a 6-foot, 200-pounder, I have to create some kind of edge. I'm coming to get you." @JakePeavy_22 on his mentality as a pitcher during his 15 seasons in MLB.

Big weekend ahead in the @TheUFL. Only 2 weeks left in the regular season heading into Week 9 and ALL 8 teams are still mathematically alive for the playoffs!!!!! 🏈🔥 UFL fans, I need your help deciding the halftime entertainment for this year’s United Bowl on June 13th at Audi Field in Washington, DC. After months of debating, I’ve narrowed it down to: Bad Bunny
50 Cent
The Beatles  Since this is my first United Bowl as owner, this is obviously a VERY difficult decision for me. Which of these talented artists would you recommend???

@awillywit @westlakeracing No. You can't blame the governor for the state of CA racing. You can blame Stronach. Now, if you come to Maryland you CAN blame the governor who has used racing and Pimlico to boost his political profile. Never saw Newsome do that.

🔥 HORSE RACING CANNOT SURVIVE ON “THIS IS HOW WE’VE ALWAYS DONE IT” 🔥 That mindset is becoming a death sentence for growth, innovation, and the future of the sport. This right here is the conversation horse racing SHOULD have. Light Up Racing was a good start to meaningful dialogue. It showed the fight for the future of this industry is very real. Unfortunately, like many reform efforts in racing, it appears to have lost funding, momentum, and sustained industry backing. That alone should concern everyone. “Because this is how it has always been done” is not a business strategy. It’s how industries slowly decline while convincing themselves everything is under control. Where is the friction? 1. Data lockdowns and gatekeeping. 2. Resistance to innovation and outside perspectives. 3. Leadership structures built to preserve power instead of grow the sport. 4. Fear of transparency and accountability. 5. An industry still operating with horse-and-buggy era thinking in a digital, mobile-first world. What would make collaboration easier?
Open the data. Open the signals. Open the doors to innovators, technologists, marketers, bettors, owners, and younger audiences. What support is needed?
Real investment into growth, distribution, technology, aftercare, and fan engagement, not endless committees and recycled talking points. What should the next version of this work look like?
A modern racing industry built around transparency, accessibility, accountability, and innovation instead of monopolized control and resistance to change. Horse racing doesn’t need less conversation.
It needs leadership willing to turn conversation into action. REFORM IS COMING! REPOST AND SPEAK OUT. @jockeyclub @BreedersCup
