As my dota, Melissa Khamwenyi Khalwale, shines all the way to the University, I want to thank the St Brigid High School-Kiminini fraternity and my family for the support they bestowed to Liza in her studies. And above all I thank God for the gift of my little girl.

In Rift Valley or Nyanza, good schools often prioritize local students. Try getting your child into Kapsabet high school if your name doesn’t start with Kip. It’s damn near impossible. Go to Maranda, it’s all Otienos and Onyangos. But when a good school is in Mt Kenya, that one was built with taxpayer money and it belongs to everyone. And if you prioritize locals, thats Tribalism.

Kenya will pay over KSh 130 billion for Talanta Stadium. Arsenal built Emirates Stadium for about KSh 67 billion. That means Talanta Stadium costs nearly TWO Emirates Stadiums.

Sarit Centre went from "no, you can't take photos in this mall" to "take photos and tag us on social media" the same way African parents go from "I should not see you with a boy/girl" to "Are you bringing your girlfriend/boyfriend home this Christmas?"

It is unacceptable for Edwin Sifuna to publicly disrespect ODM national chairperson, Hon. Gladys Wanga. Let Edwin Sifuna resign from ODM and form his own party if he is man enough.

In Dholuo, we love saying “Ngima ema duong.” It means that the gift of life is greater than anything else. It implies that as long as there’s life, we can do anything. That as long as you’re alive, there’s room to try again. And again. Thinking about it always makes me smile.

Drunk women will, Poop in your car. Vomit in your car. Urinate in your car. Scream in your car. They will not pay. They will cause chaos and will accuse you of sexual assault. Avoid a woman who drinks alcohol. Respect yourself.

POLITICIANS in the political cold who seek state power will ALWAYS fault, malign, and discredit the incumbent government no matter how well it’s doing. This is especially so in the post-colony where the state plays an outsize role in the economy and society. This is the context in which we must understand the so-called United Opposition. Kupayuka ni lazima! It would be political malpractice if they don’t relentlessly fulminate and bloviate.
