@TheMuppetPastor This is clearly guy mess. A girl can be this messy for sure, but this clearly isn't her place.

@luinalaska They are meant to be dipped in coffee or milk. Soft cookies are meant to be thrown in the trash can.

If you make a cookie hard and crunchy on purpose you don’t have the light of Christ within you that’s some demon behavior I swear. I rebuke the hard cookie.
Mogwai@winslow_peck

@luinalaska Question...when making cookies, do you make them soft and gooey, or hard and crunchy?

I can’t talk or think or stress about my baby’s sleep anymore. I will just embrace how much it sucks. She will wake up 4 times a night until she’s 12. I just need to accept it and never give it another thought because dwelling on it is ruining my life

@agreatdayinnc @GreatLakesWife_ We ended up having to abruptly move right when he would have started school, so it gave some much needed normalcy for us. Anyways, the point is, if you do think later that it is a good choice for your family, you will figure it out, its ok to try and fail or try and succeed.

@agreatdayinnc @GreatLakesWife_ I don’t know if any of us are “cut out for it.” I started off more teaching my oldest some things to see how well it would work and to get him prepared for whatever school we sent him too. We got there and it was fine.

My brother is getting married next weekend. His fiancee booked an Airbnb for their wedding night. They just realized that the place is not, in fact, an entire home, but one room in a home. With a shared bathroom.

@GreatLakesWife_ oooh also there are some brands that have really cool blends of food that no other baby food (that you don't make yourself) is going to have, so its a nice baby foodie option. I loved making and freezing baby food with #1 but just couldn't as I got more.

Ok my hot take is that I’m anti pouches. Like the snack pouches with applesauce and other mushy things in them. It’s not even primarily the ingredients, I just don’t want my baby to eat from a pouch. It feels dehumanizing or something. I’m not anti purees at all, and I’d be more ok with squeezing a pouch into a bowl and feeding it to her with a spoon. I’m also anti go-gurt for the same reason 🤣 I’m not anti freezies (for older kids) though which is probably inconsistent. Please don’t come for me, I’ve never actually fed a baby food and maybe I’ll be humbled when she starts solids. I just have a visceral reaction to pouches 😂

@Violet__Kitten @theobronzor Why? If it is a doctor who will work with you, they will be cool with it. I mean sure pick different words but there are plenty who would be cool with it.

@theobronzor Depends how you say it I guess. I know doctors who would absolutely like to just have an upfront discussion to help you find the best fit for you and your family

Recently, our first earthquake since 2022 occurred in Michigan, specifically in Monroe county. Additionally, a second earthquake nearby in southwestern Ontario also happened. All that to be said, we took it upon ourselves while the weather is boring to create this geological map denoting rift zones and fault lines across Michigan. For kicks, we also labeled the major salt mine around where the earthquake recently occurred. In the Upper Peninsula, we have the very dormant Keweenaw fault line which once was a string of volcanoes many moons ago across the western Upper Peninsula. In the Lower Peninsula, there's the Sanilac Fault, Howell Anticline, Lucas Fault, Stony Point Fault, and Albion Scipio Trend, from east to west. Most of these tiny faults with very little moment per decade are part of the mid-continent rift zone/system which stretches from the Lower Peninsula, through parts of the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior, and over to Wisconsin, Minnesota and even Iowa. Information for these faults/rifts comes from MSU, Michigan Tech, and U.S. Geological Survey. To conclude, yes, for as much as we joke about "we don't have alligators, volcanoes, or earthquakes", we still do get very tiny earthquakes on occasion, which is big news when it happens, despite its size. At least we won't ever see volcanic eruptions in Michigan in any of our lifetimes, nor wild alligators. Data shown is approximate. We are meteorologists, not geologists. Same part of the STEM field, different department. 😉 -- Trusted Partner of the Day -- Kuiper Tree Care | Call 616-828-8225 for your top option regarding all your west Michigan tree care needs!
