@bajedev

I write code, I watch stuff about code and somewhere in between I eat and sleep

Thinking of adding a `with` property to static navigation config const Drawer = createDrawerNavigator({ // ... }).with(YourWrapper) It'd let you add a wrapper and pass props to the navigator. An escape hatch to be able to use dynamic logic without re-architecturing the app.

This screen transition animation was legit one of the unique ones in Android. Feels nostalgic.

The Cloudflare platform is enabling me to quickly build things I wanted to before but I didn't because it was too much work before.

there are so many successful companies in the world they all use different programming languages, tech, processes, hiring strategies, etc and that adds up to whether or not it's fun to work there good thing to remember these days because AI is making people think there's going to be one optimal way of being successful

@jmeistrich Basically every part of the stack found a way to break during this experiment. The React Native macOS CLI, Metro, Codegen, TypeScript, Babel, autolinking, Expo Core Modules, you name it. Was a miracle to make it this far in 3 hours. Will all become smoother in time!

I just got NativeScript Node-API working inside an Expo macOS app for the first time! 🥳 Write Expo / React Native apps for macOS, with full access to the macOS SDK via JavaScript! Coded this demo together with @jmeistrich on the train back to Tokyo 🚄

@tannerlinsley @thymikee @birch_js i think in the browser its more like multi-stack side by side (horizontal navigation) so more like stack navigators inside of one big switch navigator. Michal may be referring to having a stack navigator nested inside of another stack navigator (vertical navigation)

@thymikee @birch_js In the browser, this is basically separate tabs. In mobile, there’s tab bar navigation or even actual virtual tabs in an app. 🤷‍♂️

@bajedev Oof that sounds complicated 🫨 I found XPC stupidly hard to set up in the past. Here’s where I set up the Expo + React Native macOS app: github.com/NativeScript/n… It’s on SDK 54. Don’t think I can go to SDK 55 yet.

Thinking about skills distribution: agents really should just have built-in behavior to read an npm package’s skills dir when needed, just like they already debug by reading source code. A separate registry or link from node_modules into agent-specific locations are just temporary workarounds. My prediction: this will become a convention for package authors and main stream agents will standardize on this soon.
