Some personal news: I’ve joined @NotionHQ as a storyteller through their media fellowship where I’ll be working on the social team to highlight the technical developments happening behind your favorite features.
From challenges to product decisions, I’m excited to amplify the moments that make Notion such a malleable product for teams.
I’ve admired Notion’s product design sense for many years now but when I started using personal agents within my work, I realized that there was a huge opportunity to help teams find the context that matters most and collaborate in real time.
Personal agents that can help you build, custom agents that can thoughtfully reason, along with a new set of tools released this week that make Notion even more extensible.
Huge thank you to @alexhaobao who has been an incredible mentor and friend in my journey, and I’m excited to continue cooking with the team @ASalyers3 @jamesjacoby_ @ishverduzco :)

When we launched @drivekyte in LA in 2020, the first job was finding a lot for 20 rental cars. Every lot needed a portable office trailer, specific size, specific placement, all to be compliant with city and state regs. It took weeks to find, only to learn the door was on the wrong side due to some office code violation.
Comical problem, but that was marketplace expansion. Now imagine the trailer is a compliance program and the parking code is a state healthcare AI law.

Today, I’m excited to share that @PetualAI has raised $20 to move audit from process-heavy work to judgment.
Our raise includes a $17 round led by @a16z (a16z) and a $3.2M round led by @firstround , with participation from @CowboyVC , @eladgil , the founders of Lyft, Opendoor, and more.
SOX compliance and internal audit are among the most manual, resource-intensive processes in any public company.
Auditors wade through hundreds of support files per control test. PDFs, spreadsheets, emails, screenshots, and more. Just to determine whether a control operated correctly.
Tens of millions of hours and $8 BILLION are spent on this every year.
We knew this had to change. That teams deserved to apply more of their judgment and manage risk, rather than get buried in the mechanical. That's why we built Petual.
Petual brings agentic AI to SOX testing and internal audit, autonomously gathering evidence and generating auditor-ready work papers in minutes instead of hours.
Our customers -- S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 companies spanning energy, infrastructure, SaaS, manufacturing, financial services, and more -- can see 68–80% efficiency gains on SOX workflows.
Huge thanks to our investors, early customers like @Navan and @PoweredByEos , and the many other customers who’ve been part of this journey; and of course, our incredible team.
If you're in audit or compliance and want to see Petual in action, let’s talk.

Excited to share I joined @ycombinator’s recent batch to build ai agents for selling ai agents to factories. Instead of building for manufacturers, why not build ai tools for the guys who are trying to sell them ai tools?
our b2b2b2b SaaS model is already generating 500m ARR. Picks and shovels 🙏
