The last few months have left me feeling overwhelmed, like many business owners, a mixture of reasons…. Business pressures (relentless), my time of life (not as relentless) Thank god for my family & friends… taking a day off & out of the business today, much needed….

Feels pretty clear they don't want small biz to exist.
Latest problem:
Basic public liability insurance doubled in price. DOUBLED! from £75pm to £150pm. That's just public liability..... Not even bothering with contents and other cover.
Looking at the towel. Throw it in?

@AskDawnGribble We have a great children’s menu, seems basic but all made fresh to order, covers all bases, keeps kids and parents happy - we use quality ingredients as much locally sourced as well…

How on Earth can we get our prices in line when I’m now paying £70 more a barrel for Inches cider in one pub than the other. Both tied agreements, to different pubcos but WTF?!! Give us a chance ya know?

How would a cut in VAT to 10% help your business? Initially its survival but also for us it would help us reinvest in our pubs and our team as well as avoiding massive price increases. It’s not about extra profit & the money would make its way back in to the economy. #cutVAT

Every single Hospitality venue across the UK is being crucified or closed by untenable energy bills.
Yesterday British Gas posted record profits of £751 million.
10 times the previous year of £72 million.
