I never understand why teams go to “prevent defense.”
Seems like it never works in football, soccer or basketball.
Teams stop attacking and stop doing the thing that got them the lead and end up playing on their heels.

Telling a player "Make a better decision" after a turnover is subpar coaching.
If they made a bad read, it’s often because the practice environment hasn't exposed them to that specific defensive coverage enough times.
Don't blame their IQ. Fix your constraints and increase the number of reps.

@CoachJonCook I'm for a shot clock. However, I know we sometimes struggle to get someone to operate the regular scoreboard. The shot clock adds another human responsibility.

It’s disappointing the shot clock proposal won’t move forward. In fairness to Doug Ute, this decision ultimately falls on the ADs and the OHSAA Board. These are the same administrators who expect coaches & school staffs to stay current, adapt, & embrace change. Think about that.

I’m all for improving high school 🏀, but perhaps the first thing we need to do is get back to the heart and purpose of athletics for the 98–99% that won’t play past graduation. Grassroots athletics needs an awakening; it has completely lost its way. 🤷🏻♂️

This just makes me really sad. How do we stop this type of thing from happening? Parents. Please. Think about your kids. They are watching everything you do and say. This guy should never be allowed on a field again let alone coaching young athletes.

HEAD COACHES only…..have you ever missed a game due to being sick? Not a scrimmage and but an actual game. Not your kid or wife or husband. You being sick. I’m trying to see something.

PHM was outstanding! Not to pull the nerd card but reading the book maybe took some of the zing off of it. Great movie though.

@sbean0012 Try Interstellar. Especially after being a dad for a while. That's not a space movie. It's a movie about love, especially between a father and his daughter.

Project Hail Mary was brilliant. Then I saw it again. And it felt totally different. Better in every way. Still in awe from my experience. Profound beyond description.
I won't spoil anything.
But it's rare a movie is that different, and that much better, on the second viewing.

@bbCoachStuck @1buckfanJoel I do believe he is a better shooter you may be correct. Thompson averaged 22 on 53% from 2 and 40% from 3. On his 3SSB circuit this year.

Anthony Thompson had all these rave reviews this week and is number 11 on espn.
And he played 4 mins in the whole first half…am I missing something ??

@1buckfanJoel 5 pts 3 reb 1 block in 12 mins. Hard on an all star team to judge cause a lot of kids come down and just chuck up the 3 ball or try to do too much.
But he is a sharpshooter from 3. I think he can give us Devin production and he’s only a freshman.
