99% of people really do not understand abundance as Elon describes it. The fundamental reason is that they don’t understand compound growth. Same people who would probably pick 1 million dollars today over a penny that doubles in value every day for 30 days. It’s a bad choice by the way. You lose out on millions. Imagine if that doubling object was a labor producing robot instead of a penny. Compounding labor. It’s actually crazy if you try and wrap your mind around it. So Elon mentions Universl High Income and the midwits flip a lid. “The elites won’t share” You don’t get it. They won’t need to share. They will make everything so cheap, it is effectively free. Charities will have immense resources to distribute. Unfathomable intelligence will exist to help optimize production and distribution. An unfathomably large labor pool will exist that operates on solar power exclusively. The public work projects that are erected will be unseen before levels of breathtaking. I think we are incredibly blessed to steward this new age of abundance. Can you see it now? Can you see the future?

@RedNinetyFour Reed simply rushed a lot of his shots. You could tell when he was going to miss just from his release. He just needs to calm down and shoot with balance and a regular consistent motion and he’ll be back to shooting 50%+. Gotta get him reps and hope he grows up.

If it’s a lost season, per the GM: 2a. I’d rather have Reed playing heavy minutes and growing from the reps through his mistakes like every other #3 pick gets the chance to do. 2b. Alpi and Reed are 2 of your 3 top young prospects. If they truly aren’t viable together defensively, I’d rather be sure I have tons of data on that (while giving them sufficient time to overcome) rather than rushing to make a Giannis trade (or similar) from a premature conclusion. That’s all I’ll say on this. I accept that Reed will likely be back on the bench come Wednesday.

We all pay taxes and it's fine, but beyond even the 99th percentile there is a group of financially decoupled, extremly rich people – it is those I'm talking about

I was making small talk with someone in New York City who makes around $75k, and they brought up how much they could not stand paying taxes. I could tell right away it was a very touchy subject, with lots of anger behind it. I'm guessing they pay around 25% in taxes -- but they said they should be paying zero. So I asked -- "Don't you think you should pay a little for things like your kids public education, the fire department, roads -- no?" Their answer: "No! Rich people don't pay taxes, so why should I?" Where are people getting this information, seriously? Do the masses seriously think this?

@newtonpersqm @JHennche @realEstateTrent Even with all the tax deduction tools available, they still fund the majority of almost every public service you can think of (local and federal). We should be celebrating our most productive citizens, not vilifying them. They are propping everyone else up.

I have two kids on the team. One is our PG and the strongest player. The other is a guard who thinks he’s the best, always open, and has a greenlight from anywhere on the floor (co-coach’s kid). The latter is getting increasingly aggressive towards the former and they almost fought today. I have two kids on the team. Much smaller scale fraud that is definitely happening - handicapped parking placards. Able-bodied people consistently parking in handicapped spots, but somehow having the placards. And it’s always the same demographic. What’s up with that?
