@IterIntellectus When mainstream SV culture and power centers were woke, PG was seen as anti-woke. And now as it’s primarily cuckservative he’s seen as woke. To me, that sounds like actually contrarian.
A good reminder why you can pick up GenAI - and you probably should. Real story:
Small company, 5 devs. Last time they hired was 12 years ago. AI comes out: company wants to add AI feature. But they don't have the expertise. So hire an AI agency.

Asian Americans* are generally low agency. Not sure why though, maybe that's the cost of being a minority.
Meanwhile, people in China/Japan/Korea turned their country around in a short period amount of time in the recent century. That can only be done by a group of extremely high agency people who wanted to defy their destinies.
asian people are generally low agency; it’s baked into our culture to shut up and work
there’s 10x more cracked asian engineers than white ones, but most tech yt’ers you know r funny white guys with mustaches.
this is also the reason why america innovates more
@signulll There is one critical function fulfilled by good managers which is high level of accountability that can be incentivized.
With AI you cannot incentivize it like human (for example, you can't put AI in jail if it performs insider trading).
there is no fundamental reason why ai shouldn’t replace every managerial role—every spreadsheet warrior, every middleman of miscommunication, every human masquerading as a decision-maker.
management is just glorified coordination, prioritization, & resource allocation—things ai already does better, faster, & without ego. the only thing keeping humans in charge is time & the need for scapegoats.

(I am not surprised to hear this from a startup: buy very surprised from a larger company like this!)
No, Paul, it is not laughable. It's terrifying actually.
We, Europeans, excel at war, at killing, at genocide. This is who we are, Paul.
We're technologically advanced savages and remilitarization of Europe will have consequences.
