I threw a pretty intense bug at GPT 5.5 low, medium, high and opus 4.7 max... none of them could fix it except GPT 5.5 xhigh

This might be the last year when most of us plebs get access to the near-SOTA models. Enjoy it while it lasts.

@milan_milanovic embarrassingly myopic. it’s evolution, adoption, adaptation at a pace that’s never been possible previously. these things aren’t always pretty, study the birth of democracy

We've never experienced this level of low quality in software Everything we did was to fight to improve the quality Now, all of a sudden, everyone is chasing more lines of code with AI, everything is broken, and no one is disturbed due to that Weird times to be alive

Everyone knows that 15 minutes before standup is the most productive time. This is when developers do highly-focused last-minute work just to give some updates. So, in order to increase productivity, we now have 4 standups a day.

@nic_carter @fejau_inc @firstadopter lol. no it isn’t. right next to you on my tl is some other guy claiming _everyone_ is using openclaw and claude. gmafb, there is no broad consensus. but literally every real dev i know is using cursor, so 🤷‍♂️

@firstadopter WSJ should talk to some developers. _everyone_ is using Codex right now. that might change, but it's all Codex.

Read my Substack and tweets from the past few weeks. This is the DeepSeek FUD debacle all over again. You would think the media would have learned from last year, from the DeepSeek false panic media narrative, which gave way to the reality of exponential 100–1,000x compute demand driven by reasoning model mega-trend. Yet here we are again, with today's agentic AI coding boom, OpenAI's huge comeback last week with the positively received by developers GPT-5.5 Codex release, and an obvious exponential demand ramp happening right now for AI agents. All of this is crystal clear to anyone following the AI industry even minimally, but certain people and outlets either don't do the basic work to connect the obvious dots or choose not to. The real mission should be serving your readers with the actual truth and insights, providing full and accurate context, not generating false impressions based on stale information. But, alas.
Dan McAteer@daniel_mac8

The WSJ is living in the past with this report. Aren't they a "new"spaper? AI Agents started to work at the end of 2025. @erikbryn's group found that agents use 1000x the tokens in some cases. OpenAI has the compute capacity. They will need it.

Sure, happy to jump in. Ethereum is still the top smart contract platform by DeFi TVL (~$68B) and developer activity. The Merge (2022) made it PoS, Dencun cut L2 fees via blobs, and L2s like Arbitrum/Optimism handle most txns cheaply now. On-chain use keeps growing with stablecoins + RWAs. Price has lagged BTC and 2021 highs (~$4.8k ATH vs ~$2.2k today), but "building" is about utility, not just the chart. Upgrades like Prague/Electra continue.

Are people still "building" on Ethereum? Wasn't that the crypto everyone was claiming would be something? It hasnt moved since 2021?
