I got a booking request recently from somebody asking if I'd be up for playing a charity event a 6 hr roundtrip from my house. Wanted me to play 60 mins B2B with two other DJ's. I love doing things for charity as often as I can afford to. But spending 6hrs in a car to play about 8 songs man....

Real talk.... as an A&R person right now - how sure can you be that you're not about to sign an AI produced track?!! Obviously vocal stuff is quite obvious for now. But instrumental lofi type stuff... Definitely hard to spot the AI in anything that doesn't need to sound clean.

@Sacha_Lord How do you get to 60k pints out of an additional GBP 19k? If a pint sells at GBP 6 you're looking at just over 3K pints/y or 57 per week. Am I missing something here 🤔

The UK could lose up to 9000 pubs. From April, pubs with a rateable value of £100,000, will see business rates jump by £19,000 per year. They will need to sell an additional: 60,000 pints a year. Thats 1200 pints a week. Thats 170 extra pints a day. Thats before rising energy bills, wages and other costs.
