Pakistani government is working on a new amendment that will overhaul the Pakistan's administrative units. ◾New amendment will allow the Pak federal govt to create new provinces without the approval of provincial govt or provincial legislatures. ◾ Pakistani govt is working to declare Karachi and Gwadar as federal units, allowing the federal govt to focus on the development of these cities.

@SouthAsiaIndex This amendment is double-edged. Direct federal control over Karachi & Gwadar can speed up development and CPEC projects, but bypassing provincial approval seriously weakens federalism and risks strong ethnic backlash in Sindh and Balochistan. It will be a forcefull Centralisation
