Do you not believe in God's plan and that He desires to make Mary a part of it? Why else would He ask her to bear Jesus? Sola Christus also denies the Blessed Trinity...

I never understood the purpose of this doctrine. Obviously Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, but why must she remain perpetually so? Especially when the Bible talks about Jesus’s brothers. She was married to Joseph and sex within marriage is good, not sinful.

@spes_man Technically we all have the Spirit in us. I agree with you, as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16), we should not lead normal lives, but sex within marriage is not a sin. In fact, it’s commended by God (Genesis 1:22).

@JennMGreenberg It is because "Mother of God" is the greatest and highest privilege and title granted to Mary by God. She is not the mother of anyone else. It is fitting that she only bore Jesus as the spouse of the Holy Ghost. Her having sex and other children is just... wrong

Rape is the only crime I can think of that's 100% inexcusable. There's absolutely no reason for it ever. In any circumstance. You can murder in self defence, you can steal to help your starving family. Even doing illegal drugs can really help calm people down. But rape doesn't help anyone except the rapisto And it just baffles me to this day the way people will excuse rape with, "Well he/she was drunk." or "What was she wearing?" or "He's a guy though, he probably enjoyed it." it's the one crime that everyone should find inexcusable and yet it's the one that people try to justify the most often.

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?
