@SaraForTexLege That’s not how that works. In order for her to have changed her name, they would have had to file with the government and gotten a signed license back, therefore the government already has record of the marriage. If the man took the “original” copy, she can buy a replacement.

Just voted in New York and asked the poll worker why they don't ask for ID, his response? "Not only are we not required to ask, but we aren't allowed to ask for ID." On a bipartisan basis, we should demand comprehensive accessibility to ensure everyone can obtain the proper identification; followed by mandates and checks at the time of voting to ensure election integrity. With technology today, and government spending of taxpayer money, there should be nobody who is unable to attain something as basic as a government form of identification, just as there should be nobody who is able to merely claim to be someone and steal their vote.

Imagine what could be accomplished domestically if all $105 billion of this money was spent at home and spent responsibly.

Jordan Neely was murdered. But bc Jordan was houseless and crying for food in a time when the city is raising rents and stripping services to militarize itself while many in power demonize the poor, the murderer gets protected w/ passive headlines + no charges. It’s disgusting.
