American was driving a brand new 2026 car The car gave her an alert that said it couldn’t see her eyes. The car then automatically disabled the gas and slowed down enough that it could have caused an accident She had to lean toward so the car’s facial recognition could register her eyes and stop the “kill switch” because the car thought she might be asleep “It was a 6 lane highway and all of a sudden the gas stopped working and I'm pressing on the gas. I can't get the car to go. So the car is dinging, it's making all this noise and I can't figure out what's going on. And I look at the dashboard and in English it says, sit up straight. We can't find your eyes. Why? Why do you need to see my eyes? — when I sat upright, the gas would work once again. And so I pressed the gas, but I was slowing down enough that it was gonna cause a traffic hazard. And the thing is, it knew I wasn't asleep because I was pressing on the gas. So it knew I was awake. It just wanted to see my eyes. So once I set upright and leaned forward, I guess it did facial recognition. And then it says, may I send you these results to a third party” This is horrifying considering the new mandate to have kill switches in every new vehicle by 2027. It looks like it’s already happening but overseas, we’re just next This technology can and will be abused by the government

I understand your argument. And, I don’t blame you. My point is that the money you paid into Social Security for x number of years has already been spent. It’s gone. So, in order for you to get your hundreds of thousands back, realistically, it would have to come from the Payroll taxes of currently working Americans and printing of money by the U.S. Treasury. And, that is already what the existing system does. The solution to the problem we have with Social Security cannot be what’s causing problem to begin with. Unless Social Security is privatized such that you have your OWN fund, then any other solution will cause certain people some serious economic pain. This is why this scam should have been dealt with 50 years ago.

@benz_pilled My thought is to constantly make my car think I am impaired simply by driving in FL dodging potholes & bad drivers & getting my car to shut down over & over. Then I'll initiate endless lawsuits. I think also I'll sue over other cars shutting down creating worse traffic hazards.

When I saw this bill, my first thoughts were something like, 1) I'm becoming a mechanic and driving something pre-2027 for the rest of my life, 2) when they outlaw that, I'm taking up biking, and 3) when they start surveilling the bikes, I'm switching to running... Then it hit me: I'm in zugzwang. My only moves, if I'm to remain a law-abiding citizen, are to either 1) allow myself to be prison probed by the state 24/7/365, or 2) start living in self-imposed 15-minute city conditions. I have a sudden urge to throw wooden crates into a harbor.

Automobile kill-switches are coming soon to car dealerships near you. I teamed up w/ Scott Perry & Chip Roy to defund this Orwellian mandate, but too many colleagues (Republican & Democrat) voted against us, so the federal mandate for every new car after 2026 is still in place.
