Our region’s water consumption has dropped from an average of 149 mgd on Sept 18 to 120 mgd as of Oct 9. Thanks to everyone taking action to use less water. Together, we can reach our goal of 100 mgd or less until we get enough rain this fall to replenish our mountain reservoirs.

A challenge problem for Alg II Honors during our review for our first test (on lines, circles, relations, and functions): The line y = (24/7)x forms an acute angle with the x-axis. The line y = mx bisects that angle. What is m? (How might one approach this w/o trig?) #iteachmath

@MathCurmudgeon @MartinOdimaJr IEPs are mandated by federal law, IDEA. There are parental protections built in everywhere including the right to be present when the plan is drafted and to disagree about measures.

@MartinOdimaJr In Vermont, parents are literally at the table when the IEP is written; they OK each piece of it. It's a contract between the school and the family.

Parents have the right to challenge IEPs written in schools because some IEPs just don't make sense.

If you suspect that the whole triangle is a 45-45-90 (which does turn out to be true) that also gives some test Polynomials you can divide out and see if there is a remainder.
