People only didn't like them becuse they didn't like how some of the new mons looked and couldn't use old ones until the post game, but I didn't care at all about that.

@SnrHuevo @CrazyGav90 @TrylineUK Again, the BBC actually show more matches than Channel 4 did, the BBC show 10 on main channels (BBC 2 and 3), + 5 more on the iPlayer + the Cup, Channel 4 only had 10 matches in total per season. The "shunting" you're talking about is extra, they still show 10 matches on FTA TV.

I would rather give it to C4 for less money but they actually commit to regular slots and fixtures (so people can build the habit, discover) rather than BBC shunting

Super League's TV deal with Sky and the BBC ends this year. Will be interesting to see what is negotiated going forward. Will the value increase? Will some games remain free to air? Will Sky show more on the main channels? All big issues for the game.

@SnrHuevo @CrazyGav90 @TrylineUK The BBC have the same deal that Channel 4 had, plus 5 SL matches on the iPlayer, and their pre-existing Challenge Cup content. The only difference is that instead of having to produce the matches themselves like C4 did, they just have to add their own comms over Sky's pictures.

@CrazyGav90 @TrylineUK We went from C4 actually on channel 4 to a dozen games not actually being on the BBC main channels, this entirely defeating the point of a fta deal.

@johnnyddavidson It needs a date that is suitable for both teams and allows both teams adequate preparation time. If we are to continue with this February date then if English sides go down under they should be offered up to 2 trial games in preparation & same for NRL sides if they come over here

The game last night confirmed a few things: - The World Club Challenge is a fantastic event and can provide huge drama and entertainment. It needs a permanent spot in the calendar every year. Credit to both KR and the Broncos. - NRL clubs will be fighting over Willie Peters even more. England should make him their coach. - Jez Litten gets better and better. - Hull KR's rise has been remarkable. From relegated in 2016 and at the bottom of Super League in 2020 to best club team in the world now. - Brisbane landed in the UK 10 days before and spared no expense while here. They played their full team but came up against a fired-up opponent at their best with a strong crowd behind them. This was far from any 'trial'. Playing in UK conditions in February is no easy prospect.

@wwrl_lewis @SuperLeague It's because Sky and Fox League have the exclusivity deals in those countries. If SL+ broadcast all the matches then people wouldn't subcribe to Sky/Fox and they'd lose out on revenue, and pull out of Super League, and the comp would have no central funding.

@linmanfu @twittyname @johnnyddavidson I love the railway, and will often take the train to matches where I can, but usually if I'm going to see an 20:00 kickoff, I can't always take the train home, especially if I have to cross the Penines. I'm very happy SL gets the extra revenue, but it still doesn't make sense.

There's got to be plenty of Klingons who aren't the typical warrior, and I think it's nice to have that explored. There would've been Engineers and Medics around in TNG, we just didn't see them.

Only in Kurtzman's Trek, where they use big fat crayons, would there be an artsy, theater-type Klingon.😆 The entire "Burn" thing is nonsense. Neither the Romulans nor the Borg used Dilithium Crystals to power their ships. An incapacitated Starfleet would mean an all-out war between the Borg and the Romulans for control of the galaxy. 1,000 years later, they'd be speaking Romulan at that Academy, or walking around like drones. What the hell would a gay Borg drone look like anyway? Or a lesbian Romulan?
