To think that we aren't just going "to the Moon," but rather traveling to meet it at an exact point in space... changes everything. It all comes down to orbital mechanics: arriving at the precise location, at the precise moment. One tiny error... and it simply doesn't happen

Last political post for awhile I hope, but this has to be said. I’m not a Trump supporter and honestly, a lot of people who aren’t Trump supporters are still completely fed up with the far left right now. Not because of “progress,” or “fairness,” or any of the values they claim to own. It’s because of the behavior: the purity tests, the tribalism, the reflex to label anyone who disagrees, even slightly, as an enemy. One wrong word, one nuanced opinion, one “I don’t fully agree,” and suddenly you’re a fascist, a bigot, or “part of the problem.” That’s not activism. That’s a cult mindset. Compromise is treated like betrayal. Questions are treated like violence. And “the science” gets invoked like a religious slogan, right up until the data becomes inconvenient, then it’s ignored, reframed, or shouted down. Meanwhile, the same people who demand empathy have none for anyone outside their in-group. Normal people are exhausted. We want solutions, not moral grandstanding. We want reality, not ideology. And we’re done pretending this kind of insane extremism is “just being passionate.” Sincerely, Normal people everywhere

@RepMarkHarrisNC This is why I support ICE. Mine is #6 on the top row. Instead of El Paso judge releasing him to ICE they let him go on bond for aggregated assault. He killed my daughter a week later.

Joey Jones brilliantly lays out the facts in the Minnesota shooting...just the facts, without the political BS. If there's anybody else in the room when Pres Trump and Gov Walz meet...it should be Joey.

This is exactly the kind of betrayal Americans are sick of. Stephen A. Smith was right to go nuclear on this. A sitting governor boarding a plane to Davos, Switzerland, not to represent American interests, not to defend the nation that elevated him…but to trash America and the sitting President on foreign soil. That is not leadership. That is disloyalty. You don’t air your house out in front of strangers. You don’t insult your family in front of people who would gladly see you weakened. You don’t sabotage your own inheritance and then call it “principle.” That behavior has a name, and it isn’t patriotism. Gavin Newsom didn’t go to Davos to help Californians. He went to audition. To signal allegiance to global elites by throwing America under the bus. That’s the modern Democratic Party in one snapshot…international applause over national loyalty. Stephen A. Smith saying it on SiriusXM mattered because it broke the script. When even people outside politics are calling this out, the rot is obvious. You don’t badmouth your country to foreign powers. Period. Full stop. This isn’t about left or right. It’s about respect for the house you live in. And anyone willing to smear America abroad for clout at home doesn’t deserve the office they hold. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove

@Craig_A_Spencer We actually prefer immigrants come here legally. I believe the path to citizenship should be easier but we all know our grossly incompetent congress (both parties) will never make this happen. They are too busy being partisan to serve the American people.

In 18 years as an ER doc, I ask about immigration status about as often as I ask about insurance—which is never My job is to respond to the person in front me, as if neither immigration or insurance matters Because in that moment, neither of those things matter So tell me, what do Americans want me to do when the person dying before me is undocumented? Let them die? And what if they’re uninsured? Check that they’ve paid their monthly dues before I check their pulse? We should stop making this an argument about providing emergency care to certain populations And start asking how it reflects on us all if we’re truly willing to withhold care in those moments of emergency, just because of what a piece of paper might or might not say

REPORTER: Should ERs check immigration status before treating a dying patient? LEAVITT: That's probably not a question for me to answer. That's a question for healthcare professionals and legal experts to answer. (That's not a no!)

@PeteButtigieg My healthcare premiums quadrupled after the passing of the healthcare act under Obama. The just decreased last week for the first time since ACA. I’m very well please with the current administration. I will not be voting Democrat on the federal level anytime soon.

The Republicans' bottom line boils down to this: They'll keep the federal government closed unless Democrats help Trump increase your health care premiums and kick millions off Medicaid. It doesn't have to be like this, and it shouldn't.

I didn't really know anything about Charlie Kirk Until this week Kirk was a name and face I would occasionally see someone retweet on here and I would scroll past. I'd seen 2 or 3 short videos taken from Tiktok of him debating some low IQ college student but that was it. I'm generally not interested in MAGA. I broadly believe in many of their goals, but find much of the rhetoric and policy implementation to be self defeating. To me Kirk was another Ben Shapiro or Tim Pool. All MAGA, all the time. Immediately following his shooting my shock was political and societal. Another step down in what seems to be the never ending descent of American, and thus Western, society. Another sad day for free speech, no matter what you thought of the man's politics. Then in the following hours my timeline was filled with videos of Kirk as a father, and my heart broke. I saw a man that was clearly devoted to his family and who loved them, and was loved in return, a great deal. I felt that love forever torn apart. I saw a daughter that would never run to her father and wrap her arms around him again. The following day I saw more videos on here, and out of respect and curiosity I watched them all. Maybe they would make some sense of why someone felt the need to end this man's life and rob his children of a father. They did not. Contrary to the tweets spreading through X as some kind of justification, what I found was a man who was deeply religious. I man that had a true belief system, and not one that he bent or shaped to fit to modern society. For example. he absolutely believed that homosexuality was a sin because that was what the bible told him, but he did not hate or think less of those people. Many of his close friends such as Peter Thiel and David Rubin were gay. What I see when I watch the videos of Kirk is a fan of deep faith who put that faith above everything else. I see a man who treated everyone with compassion and civility. I see a man that was friendly and open and honest. Honestly, I see a man that is braver and better than I. Not because he put himself in danger by wanted to talk to people, but by handing himself completely over to a belief system that I've never been able to get my head around. Like many of us, the idea is alien to me. I can't say I don't watch his videos with a tinge of jealousy. What I see is a man who was completely happy. A man confident in his faith and who led his life accordingly. A man who not just believed, but acted on his belief. At a time when so many people seem empty and depressed, it's hard not to be a little jealous of a person that seemed so fulfilled. With this in mind, it's been incensing to see him slandered on here by people without any of the faith and none of the commitment. To see people take the man's faith and turn it into something twisted and hateful. I knew nothing of the man in life, but I will try to listen to him more in death.
