If men use women's toilets, women will be subjected to humiliation, abuse and violence. Anyone with any sense knows this. Which is why, in practice, women will not use women's toilets, and will increasingly be driven out of society.

@TooManyEels @Glinner The point is that neither of them is something that you or I, or the majority of the population, feel. That doesn’t make it any less real to those who do though. And there is scientific evidence which says it is real.

@bevcott @Glinner Ok, I see what you mean, but it still seems very different; homosexuality is an attraction to members of the same sex. Gender dysphoria is feeling that you're not the same gender as your body. In my mind, sex is real, and attraction is too. Gender (as something separate to sex)..

Fine for women to be subjected to men in their spaces, as long as men aren't subjected to other men in theirs.

I've never seen any evidence that trans-identified men face an enhanced risk of assault in men's loos. But in case they do, the @EHRC Code says that, wherever practicable, additional mixed sex options should be made available. Another option is for men to stop hitting other men

@johnredwood Selling off 35 of the reservoirs we had in 1989 might have something to do with it. Hard to see how you’re going to blame migration for that one.

Net zero advocates say we are running short of water because of changing weather. The main reason is of course the failure to put in new reservoirs to cater for the large increase in population through migration this century. We had plenty of rain last winter.

@donmcgowan @breadf2man Don’t count on it. With 5 parties and a first past the post system anything could happen. Look how Labour got a huge majority on 33% of the vote.

I've seen a very dark side of this platform over the bank holiday weekend. I wrote a post supporting teachers — thousands of replies telling me that they hate teachers. Posts in which I called out Robert Kenyon's misogyny — thousands of replies telling me that he's 'proper bloke' and plenty of women saying they'll happily vote for him. Allowing for the 𝕏 Bot Factor, I am really quite shocked by how many people are so entrenched in beliefs I thought we'd left behind in the 1980s. Reform UK has dragged a sizeable proportion of this country back decades. Racism. Misogyny. Anti-education. A trifecta of bigotry being used to weaponise the far-right. Very disturbing but, thankfully, in the UK, it's only around 23% of the population. Not enough for Reform to win a General Election.

@TooManyEels @Glinner No but people claimed that biology dictated heterosexuality was the norm and anything else was just imagined. Just as people now claim that people who find themselves in the wrong gender are just imagining it.

@bevcott @Glinner How? Homosexuality doesn't make any demands on physical reality does it? Whereas trans claims that sex and gender are not the same thing, and that people can change them.

If you want to know what the ‘Cost of Net Zero’ is look at these average domestic energy bills across countries. Imagine what the commercial energy bills are for businesses trying to compete in world markets ? Energy for UK businesses is 5 x higher than in China and 4.5 x India

@bevcott @Glinner I'm not talking about experience though, I'm saying that the definition of 'man' is purely biological. Whether a person feels like a man (whatever that means) or not is irrelevant; the physical reality of their body is what makes them a man or a woman.

@owenjonesjourno @EHRC Owen, men’s incessant, ubiquitous violence against women & girls results in 3 murders a week in the UK alone. So no, we won’t share our few places of refuge -which allow us to take part in public life – with trans-ID men, which means any man who’ll say the words “I’m a woman”…

British Christian patriots protest on the streets, waving UK and England flags and holding a large crucifix. They chant “Whose streets, our streets?” along with “white power” and “white victory.” I can’t believe this is happening in Britain, and the police do nothing. Is this the new British Christian values? We have a big problem in Britain.

@TooManyEels @Glinner I remember people making the same arguments back in the day when homosexuality was made legal. It’s not your experience therefore it cannot be anyone’s experience. You’re wrong, and there is scientific evidence that you are.

@bevcott @Glinner It doesn't matter what they feel like. They are male humans. Adult male humans are men, regardless of how much that doesn't align with whatever's going on in their heads. Some people think that they're wolves or tables, but they're not. Same goes for trans - it's a delusion.

Starmer, Burnham, Farage, Polanski…These men have one thing in common. They all want nationalisation. That will mean companies run by politicians but paid for with YOUR money. There’s only one party that stands against their failed ideas and that’s the Conservatives.
