.@Amazonleo just introduced an antenna that brings premium inflight connectivity experiences to every seat. ✈️ The new Amazon Leo Aviation Antenna is engineered for the demands and stresses of commercial aviation and the high expectations of passengers. Airline customers like @JetBlue and @Delta will use it to deliver reliable performance from gate to gate as their aircraft traverse the globe. The antenna connects to Leo's satellite constellation in low Earth orbit, which uses laser links between satellites and 300+ ground gateways to maintain performance virtually anywhere—even over oceans and polar routes. The result: speeds of up to 1 Gbps download and 400 Mbps upload to deliver reliable internet connectivity for a whole cabin of airline passengers and crew. ✅

First ever FAA supersonic flight authorization for an uncrewed aircraft

Quarterhorse Mk 2.1 has received authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration to exceed Mach 1 speeds. Hermeus is the second company ever authorized by the FAA to fly a civil aircraft supersonic and the first to do so with an unmanned system. We’re grateful for a strong partnership with the agency and proud to be a part of aviation history.
