@akkiman Police stand after the Amrutanjan bridge to check big vehicles, you know why. Ideally, if truck drivers followed lane discipline, there wouldn't be so much traffic for cars. But police wait for trucks to break lane rules in ghat section, then fine them once they've finished it.

Was in Thane today and it took me 4.5 hours to get back.. 2+ hrs stuck on the ghat. Not surprised about the jams but what was odd was the total absence of cops and allowing trucks of all shapes and sizes to ply (some even carrying stuff that was 1.5 - 2 lanes wide)

@PuneCityTraffic I’ve noticed that in Kharadi, traffic police are often stationed at hidden corners mainly to fine people, rather than being positioned at key junctions such as near the PMC bus stand or on riverfront road.
