@Rightanglenews @mirandadevine Essentially Virginia is giving all of its citizen's electoral votes to a few of the larger states. That was the reason the electoral college was created in the first place; to keep a few large population states from controlling who got to be the president. Moronic.

BREAKING - Outrage is erupting across Virginia after Abigail Spanberger signed HB965 into law, effectively rendering Virginians’ presidential votes null and void, with the measure handing the states electoral votes to the national popular vote winner regardless of states results.

@CBSNews Pope Leo recently made a statement as to good “politics” in promoting “equitable distribution of resources.” Sounds political to me, a la Mamdani.

Pope Leo says he has "no fear of the Trump administration" after he was asked about President Trump's Truth Social post calling the pontiff "weak on crime, and terrible for foreign policy." "We are not politicians, we don't deal with foreign policy with the same perspective he might understand it, but I do believe in the message of the Gospel, blessed are the peacemakers."

@BishopBarron Has the Pope criticized Iranian leaders as he has President Trump. For example, did he comment at all on the tens of thousands of Iranian citizens recently killed by IRGC as they were publicly protesting ?

The statements made by President Trump on Truth Social regarding the Pope were entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. They don’t contribute at all to a constructive conversation. It is the Pope’s prerogative to articulate Catholic doctrine and the principles that govern the moral life. In regard to the concrete application of those principles, people of good will can and do disagree. I would warmly recommend that serious Catholics within the Trump administration–Secretary Rubio, Vice President Vance, Ambassador Brian Burch, and others–might meet with Vatican officials so that a real dialogue can take place. This is far preferable to the statements on social media. I am very grateful for the many ways that the Trump administration has reached out to Catholics and other people of faith. It has been a high honor to serve on the Religious Liberty Commission. No President in my lifetime has shown a greater dedication to defending our first liberty. All that said, I think the President owes the Pope an apology.

Pope Leo has charged into the political realm in several areas, not the least of which was a statement that “sound politics” promotes “ the equitable distribution of resources.” Sounds like Mamdani. But more significant was his comment criticizing President Trump’s statement about destroying the “Iranian civilization.” Contrast that with Pope Leo’s failure to condemn Iranian leaders for the recent killings of over 30,000 Iranian citizens protesting their government. Words do not kill; bullets do.

Pope Leo severely criticized President Trump’s threats about destroying the “Iranian civilization” as well as other comments and actions by the President. Why hasn’t Pope Leo condemned Iranian leaders for the recent killings of over 30,000 Iranian citizens protesting their government. Words don’t kill civilizations; bullets do.

Donald Trump shamefully attacked His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. People of faith will never worship a wannabe King. We worship an almighty GOD.

Donald Trump is incapable of executing the duties of President of the United States. Congress must step in to remove him from his position. I join my friend @RepRaskin to support a nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Capacity to determine this president's fitness for office.

@Rasmussen_Poll A good reason for term limits. Length of service is directly proportional to a senator’s number one priority. Re-election.

If the US Senate fails to pass these requirements for American citizenship and photo ID to vote despite overwhelming bipartisan public support, do you believe it shows that the U.S. Senate really doesn't care about what the voters want?

@DefiantLs CA AG Bonta claims CA has been going after healthcare fraud for decades, and Trump is "late to the party." Recent revelations of the stunning amount of fraud in that state should embarrass Bonta.

The quote—“These political fiends are not half sick enough yet. ‘Party malice’ and not ‘public good’ possesses them entirely”—comes from a conversation Abraham Lincoln had as president-elect in late 1860 following his election but before his inauguration. He was referring to secessionist Democrats amid the crisis that led to the Civil War. Seems the current Democrat Party is returning to its roots.

@ChrisMurphyCT It is now clear that if Trump had left Iran alone over the last year it could by now have made a nuclear weapon and be able to deliver it by ballistic missile over 2000 miles which would include every European capitol. Then what?

The reason I believe this war with Iran has to stop now is because every day Trump tries to clean up one mistake with a new, more innovative mistake. Every day we get deeper into a quagmire.
