RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE
I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race.
After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament.
I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker.
I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years.
I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same.
I shall remain available to the service of my country as the party and the President may assign me.
In the meantime, I pledge to continue cooperating with all ongoing investigations as initiated by the relevant organs of the state to get to the root of all the allegations raised.
FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.

On December 24, 1898, while celebrating Mass, St. Charbel suffered a stroke and died at age 70. What followed was extraordinary.
For several weeks, a brilliant, unexplained light was seen glowing around his tomb every night, even in heavy rain. People from surrounding villages gathered to witness this mysterious phenomenon.
When his tomb was opened in 1899, his body was found perfectly preserved, soft and flexible, as if he had just died. A sweet fragrance filled the air, and a mysterious oily liquid continued to flow from his body for years. Medical experts could find no natural explanation.
Since then, Saint Charbel has been linked to thousands of miracles and healings—including cures from cancer, paralysis, blindness, and life-threatening illnesses. Pilgrims of all faiths, including Muslims, still flock to his shrine in Annaya, where graces continue to flow.
Saint Charbel teaches us that the greatest light comes not from worldly success, but from a heart fully surrendered to God. He famously said: “A soul that lives in God is like a candle that burns without being consumed.”
More than 125 years after his death, his witness still shines brightly—reminding us to seek silence, prayer, and union with the Lord in our noisy world.
🙏 Do you have a devotion to Saint Charbel? Have you experienced his intercession? Share your story in the comments!

UPDATE: Counsel Salim Hadad, one of the lawyers representing Dr. Lina Zedriga, the Deputy President of the National Unity Platform, has succeeded in securing her appearance in court in person after she complained that the video link was unclear. #NTVNews
The Gulu Chief Magistrate, Augustine Alule Koma, ruled in favor of Dr. Zedriga and ordered prison authorities to produce her at 1:00 PM. This followed the state attorney, Ms. Patricia Edyedo, who did not object to the application. The state noted that the matter is still under investigation and requested a mention date.

Close, in 1983 I woke up on the floor of a college dorm at a girls Catholic university. Got up, grabbed my hat, found my clothes in seconds flat. Had to climb a tree to get over a 12’ wall and hoped I didn’t fall. Started hitchhiking at 4am. Got a ride and found out I was going in the wrong direction. Damn 80’s
