Q: "Why didn't you tell U.S. allies…about the war before attacking Iran?" President Trump: "We wanted surprise. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?"

Let's be very clear.
This is pure, unadulterated disrespect.

@jk_rowling Thank you so much for replying. My uncle “Street Cred” is now off the charts because I “know” J.K. Rowling. Your reply has been printed out and I understand will be framed. My niece also wanted me to attach this picture of her that was taken today

@jk_rowling my niece is a giant fan and she asked me to tell you that she loves you. She is doing a school report on you.

We must confront racism and misogyny everywhere — from the school house to the White House.
I’m proud to sign Rep. @GeneforTexas’s resolution condemning anti-Asian hate speech like “Kung Flu” and “China Virus.”

Imagine what else $1 billion a day could pay for other than a pointless war.

The preliminary Pentagon cost estimate of the war in Iran is $1 billion a day, a congressional official told me.

@bigtimeroberts @ClayTravis This "in thousands" note at the top left means that you need to add 3 zeros to the end of every number. That means it's billions, not millions. Unless you think iHeartMedia is operating on only $3.8 million in revenue.

English

@ClayTravis maybe consider advising your own employer iHeartMedia not to lose $2.5 Billion over 3 years before you start advising other media companies.

@USA_Polling Damn, that amount could have built 2 inches of high speed rail in California

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace.
I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution.
Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.
