If making your food good is based on seasoning, you have no cooking skills. Good cuisine rely on texture and the alliance of the flavours of the underlying ingredients.
Your reliance on magic powder to give tastes to your cuisine is just a skill issue.
A good carbonara? You only need a bit of salt and pepper.
A good tartare steak? Same.
A good purée mousseline? Same.

North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) aircraft will soon arrive at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland. Along with aircraft operating from bases in the continental United States and Canada, they will support various long-planned NORAD activities, building on the enduring defense cooperation between the United States and Canada, as well as the Kingdom of Denmark. This activity has been coordinated with the Kingdom of Denmark, and all supporting forces operate with the requisite diplomatic clearances. The Government of Greenland is also informed of planned activities. NORAD routinely conducts sustained, dispersed operations in the defense of North America, through one or all three NORAD regions (Alaska, Canada, and the continental U.S.).

This is absolutely devastating for the AI artists who put their time and effort into creating this.
Yes, it was AI generated, but there were still real people behind it making creative decisions, refining prompts, and crafting the final piece.
The backlash got so intense that the video was completely pulled.😧 Really shows how much resistance there still is to AI in creative spaces, even when actual artists are involved in the process!!
Thankfully many companies are embracing AI and are still using it in their commercials (Kalshi, Coca-Cola). A minor setback, but there were setbacks for everything new. Just Luddites getting in the way of progress.

McDonald’s just dropped a new AI ad and it’s beautiful and I am genuinely tired of people pretending this is not the future of media. If this played on your TV during a normal commercial break, you would be disingenuous to say “its slop” or “I could easily tell it is AI.” It is a fantastic ad on its own merits, and it is obvious that AI video will eventually be one to one with reality, where you truly cannot tell the difference. if your of average intelligence and can extrapolate of course. When we get there, then what? Is it still “slop,” or does “slop” permeate as a label for anything made with AI, even when you cannot tell at all?

I’m disappointed in Denver voters’ choices but I’m not giving up on our city.
I'll keep pushing for real solutions that protect the vulnerable, respect taxpayers and improve our city.
On a slightly brighter note, there's a small but meaningful shift in the margins.
The ViBrAnT Denver bonds passed with solid support ranging from 60-67% yes votes. The ViBranT Denver bond campaign spend millions on advertising while opposition to the bond spent next to nothing.
Despite millions in DC advertising money spent, the ViBranT Denver bonds did not see the overwhelming endorsement seen for the Elevate Denver bond in 2017, where many measures sailed through with high-60s to low-70s approval. Even the Rise Denver bonds in 2021 saw an average of 64-66% (excluding the arena's decisive rejection).
Thank you to everyone who voted for accountability and transparency. Hopefully Denver voters will learn to do better next election.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Vice President Cheney was a devoted public servant, from the halls of Congress to many positions of leadership in multiple presidential administrations. His passing marks the loss of a figure who, with a strong sense of dedication, gave so much of his life to the country he loved.
Doug and I are keeping Lynne, their daughters Liz and Mary, and the entire Cheney family in our thoughts during this difficult time.
