@mapleblooded Sovereign wealth funds allows access to international capital markets. That money is used for the benefit of Canadians. The alternative is domestic taxation or austerity, or both. Should have been established a long time ago. I’m a conservative btw.

The truth about the Vancouver Whitecaps: they bought the franchise for $30m. It's now worth around $500m. But the only real way to profit is to sell up. Sports assets don't throw off dividends, they eat money til you flip the asset, and the Caps are looking for max return.

@jimiuorio The professional school process is, in part, designed to weed out candidates lacking the discipline, grit and character to practice medicine or law. Cramming for a test does not equate to longevity in a high stress career where clients’/patients’ interests can be harmed.

Hot take..You should be able to be a lawyer or a doctor WITHOUT going to a formal school for those things…if we have comprehensive exams and a transparent rating system why should we care how the skills were learned…thoughts?

@beyoumf First year of high school when I learned I wasn’t popular, cool, or attractive. My family was poor, so that added to the suck. School sucked and home sucked. There was no place where I felt at ease.

at what age did you realize life is actually hard?

@mrmikeMTL When I was 16, my license got suspended for a year because of too many demerit points. I told no one and drove anyways. Drove like a grandma 365 days straight. Drove slow, even when running late. Somehow got through it without getting pulled over.
