Visiting the National Mall is a walk in the park, but the distances can be deceiving. Walking from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and around the Tidal Basin can add up to several miles. Please pace yourself in the heat, take breaks, wear sunscreen & drink plenty of water.

@musserryan @311DCgov I ran 9.5 miles from Hill East > Sousa > ART > Hyattsville on Saturday (with spikes). Sousa was by far the most dangerous segment. (but a mile later, this one was fun!)

Who is responsible for clearing the pedestrian paths of the Sousa Bridge @311DCgov? Right now it’s entirely impassible.

First run on snowcrete! Very fun. Spikes necessary. Will bring hot chocolate next time (clearly this landscape is here to stay).
