@swils0608 @JonathanTurley Yep. 28 USC 1442 is clear. Even if a state were to prosecute a Federal officer, the case would be removed to Federal court.

@JonathanTurley Professor doesn't this decision directly undermine Hennapin County's indictment of the federal officer you were speaking of earlier?

@Jefflemberger34 @TheJFreakinC It was already thrown out. 28 USC 1442, you can’t charge a Federal officer with a state crime if they are on duty. Has to go through Federal court.

@TheJFreakinC IT IS ABOUT FUCKING TIME THIS HAPPENED!!! I hope that the Hennepin County DA and the Judge assigned to the case throws the book at this ICE Agent, Gregory Morgan. Now that there is a nationwide BOLO for Mr. Morgan, he cannot hide anywhere.

🚨BREAKING: An ICE agent has FINALLY been charged, with TWO felony assault charges, for pointing a gun at U.S. citizens, in Minneapolis. And a nationwide warrant has been issued for his arrest. According to the criminal complaint, Gregory Morgan, 35, was driving an unmarked SUV on the shoulder of Highway 62… flying past traffic to bypass a rush-hour bottleneck. When another driver briefly moved over to slow him down, Morgan didn’t just move on… He pulled alongside their car, rolled down his window, and pointed a gun directly at both people inside while still driving. The victims called 911, saying they thought a random person was aiming a gun at them. One even recorded video of the SUV, which helped investigators track him down. Morgan later said the same line every ICE agent says… He pulled the gun because he “feared for his safety” and yelled, “police.” But, prosecutors say he wasn’t responding to any emergency or operation… he was simply heading back to a federal building to end his shift. Surveillance footage shows him riding the shoulder, pulling up next to the victims, and staying there for several seconds before speeding off and merging back into traffic. He’s now facing two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, each carrying up to seven years in prison, and a nationwide warrant has been issued for his arrest. And this wasn’t an isolated incident, or just one “bad agent”… This is the kind of behavior we keep seeing, again and again, from ICE agents… because this administration has created an environment where they act like they’re above the law. While the same agency is given more power, more funding, more authority… while operating with less and less accountability in communities across the country.

Only two states voted unanimously in 2024. One is #1 in education and quality of life. The other is near the bottom in almost everything. You’re not “owning libs.” You’re owning yourselves.

@eurofounder @indy_wren 41k a year isn’t a flex, especially as software engineers are being replaced by AI very quickly. I can create a Claude code in one hour compared to what you can do in one sprint.

Netherlands just announced a new 120% wealth tax It will apply to the ultra-rich who earn above €150k per year So if you make €200k, you pay €60k on the €50k above the threshold Dutch officials explained it is to "discourage wealth hoarding behaviour" So beautifuly said Finally someone in Europe has the moral spine to put an end this selfish accumulation of wealth No human being should make over €150k a year It is a vulgar and borderline pornographic amount I hope more EU countries will adopt this progressive legislation This is why Europe is, and always will be, light years ahead of America

@JRock41127405 @blockparty0730 @greendragonhq @Eric_Eze_L I agree and I’m all for capitalism without corporate welfare socialism handouts while the majority of Americans are struggling. 88+ large corporations paid $0 in federal taxes. That shit needs to get fixed. Period.

If the bottom 50% of Americans only pay 2% of all taxes, why don’t we just ask the rich to pay 2% more so half of America can be completely tax free? To the rich, it might mean one less private jet or yacht. To the bottom 50%, it might mean not having to choose between rent, food, utilities, or healthcare.

BREAKING: The Senate just voted 52-47 to let Trump bomb Iran without Congressional approval. The Founders gave war powers to Congress for one reason: To make sure no single man could start a war alone. That protection just died in the Senate.

A Boston public school teacher is paying a higher tax rate than Jeff Bezos is today. That's flat-out wrong. My Wealth Tax for ultra-millionaires and billionaires will finally right the wrongs of our tax code so that the rich pay their fair share.

There's no good civic argument for the electoral college. It was arguably necessary to ensure the ratification of the Constitution, but it's an anti-democratic device that gives some American citizens far more voting power than others, based purely on where they live.
