@sealifebham I'm trying to book for two adults and a 0-3 using the Kellogg's offer code. Apart from it being very difficult to work out how to do that on your website, it is refusing to add the 0-3 ticket, saying that "the combination of tickets is invalid". Why is it so hard?

In the last two days: - The UK has recorded the second highest death toll in the world (30,076). - The government has missed the 100,000 tests target for the fourth consecutive day. - A senior govt source has complained that workers are "addicted" to the furlough scheme.

This feels like a mistake to me & a failure to learn from the first phase. Too much has been imposed top-down with no local input. To be successful, contact tracing needs to be locally-managed & integrated with the work of our public bodies.

The fortunes of billionaires aren't earned, they are extracted: from nature, from underpaid labour, from the privatization of public goods, from political influence, from monopoly rent-seeking. No one "deserves" this kind of wealth.

Today is one year since the climate emergency was declared by the House of Commons. We must deal with the coronavirus crisis and then we must as country return to the issue of climate change. Tackling it will be an essential part of the jobs recovery we will need.

Apart from anything else, I don't get the cognitive dissonance that allows for: NHS staff are our heroes, champions and let us clap for them, but also: the ones that complain about PPE are awful lefty activists

@tgent_fens @HS2theTruth @Phil_Goodwin99 Very true. As a modeller, my biggest frustration is when planners use to modelling to justify/verify their schemes and expectations, rather than use it to find out what works best. And if the modelling isn't great, understand why and address it.

@HS2theTruth @Phil_Goodwin99 Most modellers would half agree. Modelling helps to identify which assumptions are important, which relationships we understand, and which outcomes are likely/unlikely.

A smallamendment: *some* people will surely swiftly revert to something like their previous pattern. Others will make fundamental changes. Some will travel more, some less, some differently. The crucial research questions are how many of each type, and who, and how to influence.
