We analysed top intercity EV buses route in India, five private players (@nuegoindia , @freshbus_in, @Leafy_Bus , @zingbus and @FlixBus ) For every intercity bus registered in India from 2020-2025, nine intracity buses are registered. Despite this, Indian private and state government operators have invested capital to buy buses and build out the charging infrastructure. Every km run on EV saves precious oil reserves. The sooner the industry adopts heavy electric vehicles, the faster we will be independent about our energy reserves. NueGo has the most daily services across the country covering 1.4L km on a daily basis. We've put up 10 interactive charts and maps in our article. Take a look at various intercity EV bus metrics and understand the current market. Link to the article is in the comments! We are offering discounts on our monthly plans, so take a subscription if you haven't yet! Special thanks to @TheICCT and @bhaumikgowande for your work on EV buses in India!

@aakancvedi The ₹5.44 lakh crore figure is incorrect. It's closer to ₹60k crores. Please add a correction to the thread.

To put this in perspective, total admitted claims against Jaypee were Rs 5.44 lakh crore Adani's bid of Rs 15,343 Cr, this is a recovery of just 2.8% Against just the bank loans of Rs 57,185 Cr, recovery is ~25% Equity shareholders get Rs 0, stock will be delisted 14/16

Yesterday, Adani bought Jaypee Group for Rs 14,535 Cr But Vedanta had bid around Rs 17,000Cr, over Rs 2,000 Cr MORE than Adani Yet their higher bid lost and Adani won the bid despite a lower bid! So how did the lowest bid win one of India's largest bankruptcy deals? 1/16

@MehulThakkar_ Let's reframe it. It's useless for 92% of Mumbai that doesn't own cars and can't afford cabs, while using their tax money to give a freebie to car owners who add to traffic, noise, and pollution.

Borivali to Nariman Point via Coastal Road: 1 hour Return: 1 hour (both during non peak hour) Meanwhile, Matunga to Nariman Point took 1 hour in peak traffic yesterday... Calling the ₹15,000 crore Mumbai Coastal Road project “useless” doesn’t quite add up.... #Mumbai #MumbaiCoastalRoad #Infrastructure

I have been flagging this for over a year. And now it stands exposed. BBMP’s so-called “feasibility study” to ease Bengaluru traffic is nothing but a cut-and-paste job of a 2019 BMRCL-commissioned report, with over 60% of its content blatantly copied. For this academic fraud, the BBMP has spent ₹5 crore of public money, only to push a pre-decided agenda - the ₹40,000 crore Tunnel Road project. This is not governance. This is daylight loot backed by intellectual dishonesty. Despite such a disgraceful revelation, the @Siddaramaiah government continues to bulldoze ahead with a project that risks irreversible damage to Bengaluru’s future, clearly driven by vested interests. Will the State Government now scrap this flawed project? Will accountability be fixed for this blatant misuse of taxpayer money? #TunnelRoadBeda #BengaluruDeservesBetter deccanherald.com/india/karnatak…

All the rich MLAs of the city across Cong and BJP have come together to decide street vendors can't vend on arterial or sub arterial roads. We are watching sirs and madam. Thx for showing your true colours again. This city is not just for the rich. We will fight back and win.

For those who don’t know: Hind Rajab, a 5-year-old Palestinian girl, was trapped in a car during the Gaza conflict. She was killed, and the vehicle she was in was reportedly hit by 300+ bullets. -Hind’s cousin, 15-year-old Layan Hamada, made an urgent call to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), stating that they were being targeted. A few seconds later, gunshots were heard, and Layan’s screaming abruptly stopped. -Hind was alive, and she stayed on the call with emergency services, pleading for help for hours. -The paramedics sent to rescue her were killed. -The decomposing bodies of Hind, Layan, and their family members were discovered many days later. -Her story became a global symbol of civilian suffering in war. -The Voice of Hind Rajab documents her story. It has been nominated for an Oscar for Best International Feature Film. In India, the Central Board of Film Certification censored the film. The reason cited was that it could affect India–Israel relations. (1)

After 10 years, the team that worked on the Bengaluru Congestion Pricing Study (2014–15) came together again and met in #Singapore Many may not know that the Government of Karnataka @siddaramaiah had commissioned a detailed congestion pricing study for #Bengaluru, with technical cooperation from, MSI Global subsidy of @LTAsg #Singapore, @DULTBangalore and @jica_direct_en . The study explored both corridor-based and cordon-based pricing to understand where and how congestion pricing could work in the city. @governmentofkar @UDDKarnataka Some of the locations examined included: • #CBD area around Majestic (for cordon/area pricing) • #Koramangala as another potential charging zone • Pilot corridors: MG Road–HAL Airport Road and Hosur Road It also examined: • Identification of suitable charging areas • Charging schemes and time of operation • Pricing structure • #ERP technology and operations • Financing and implementation strategy At that time, the work largely remained a technical report and did not move toward a pilot or implementation. Is it time to revisit some of the ideas we explored a decade ago? @DKShivakumar @GBAChiefComm

Parks in Bangalore have been taken over, in a manner hostile to every other population category, by retired uncles who loiter 4 extended hours, impose weird rules like walking only clockwise, while themselves walking in 3-4s like a football penalty wall cribbing about everything

89% of Linde India's shareholders rejected the company's proposal to approve its related party transactions. The transaction itself happened in 2020. So, technically, part of the company's operations are unlawful. Here's what happened 🧵

The Versova-Bhayandar Coastal Road is being sold to you as progress. 26 km of high-speed corridor. Less congestion. Faster commute. But who actually benefits? Let's do the math Mumbai's planners don't want you to do. 🧵

Linde India’s CFO resigned a day before a regulatory order landed. The order was about whether Linde India treated its public shareholders fairly. To understand that, start with something simple. 1/
