I hate to say this because I was the YOU MUST BECOME A PILOT guy on here... but I'm just being real. I sold my plane almost 2 years ago and somehow my main hobby has become trying to get fit and jacked. I've lost 50+ pounds and am well on my way to being jacked and tan by this summer at a level I've never been at before. I still miss flying. I still want to buy another plane when I can again. BUT If I had to choose between no plane and jacked and tan, or a really nice plane and chubby and pasty. I'd pick jacked and tan, no hesitation. One path costs a lot of $$$, and you can get jacked and tan for free or cheap. Ultimately I want it all- I want a jacked bod flying a sick bird. But if you're in a season where you can't have it all yet, I'd go fitness first over other fun passions/hobbies in hindsight.

@tywoosley23 Have you tried waking early (in the 5s or 6s) and doing an hour of aerobic (easy-ish) exercise. Do this every day for 2 weeks and see how you go.

@misraetel I feel like I’ve seen a video of this before from you but what would grow muscle better…a higher weight at 3-6 reps (near failure) or a lower weight at 6-15 (again, near failure) or would it be roughly equivalent?

Some folks today think that sets of 3-6 reps grow muscle better than sets of 6-15 reps. In order to believe this, you have to ignore the consensus of nearly ALL exercise science evidence. It has been long confirmed and re-confirmed that sets of 5-30 reps cause roughly equivalent gains, so long as they're within 3-4 reps of failure.

@EdLatimore If they like games like my son, there’s an app called ABC Reading Eggs produced by Australia’s ABC (govt funded news org like BBC). Our son was reading before he started school because he loved levelling up in the games.

Every fitness person online is screaming... One camp shouts: Zone 2. The other: Go hard or go home. HIIT! But if you look at what the best in the world actually do? It’s simpler. More thoughtful. Less dogmatic. More varied A new study surveyed elite endurance coaches and the patterns were striking. Let’s break it down.

@srenner22 @JoelSnape @djericbmix I have zero patience for lazy people who refuse to do a quick Google search. It’s almost like FOMO has taken over their mind and can’t come to grips with the reality that other men practiced self control and leadership.

My wife and I refused to move-in together before marriage. We also refused to sleep together. This made the idea of getting married 100x more exciting. I wish more young people would stop settling for scraps and use some self-control. It’s truly worth it.

Before you vote tomorrow, think about these hypothetical questions: 1. Your wife, Jennifer, stays at home to take care of your school-age kids. You feel immensely blessed that she was willing to give up a career she enjoyed and privileged to be able to afford this, but it does entail financial sacrifices. Over the past four years, Jennifer—who used to be a CPA and who watches your budget like a hawk—has noticed that her trips to the grocery store have started costing nearly twice as much as they used to, even as she’s shifted toward a relatively lower-cost product assortment. Jennifer isn’t political, and she just wants to know who you think would do a better job of managing the cost required to feed your family. Is your answer Kamala Harris or is it Donald Trump? 2. Your oldest son, Mark, is an infantryman in the Marine Corps. He’s served his country valiantly, but countless deployments have started taking a toll on his health and on his young family’s wellbeing. Which candidate to you better trust to keep Mark and his fellow Marines out of harm’s way unless absolutely necessary for the security of our nation and the protection of its vital interests, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? 3. Your sister, Katie, and her children live in El Paso, TX. Under the Biden-Harris administration, there have been more than 100,000 encounters along the southern border every single month, with many months resulting in more than 200,000 encounters. Social services in your sister’s town are stretched to the limit, and local schools are above capacity. Who do you trust more to resolve this crisis on the southern border and restore normalcy for American citizens like Katie who live in the region, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? 4. Your brother Mike was a star athlete and everyone’s favorite class clown in high school, but college wasn’t the right path for him. Instead, Mike started his career at a manufacturing plant in your town, gradually working his way up from an hourly production role to a salaried shift manager position. A larger competitor, however, recently acquired Mike’s employer, and they have a lengthy reputation for offshoring production work. Your brother is concerned that his plant will be shut down in favor of the new owner’s factory in China, where labor is cheaper and environmental regulations less stringent. Mike wants to know which candidate would do more to fight for his job, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. What do you tell him? 5. You don’t understand why gasoline prices are so much more expensive than they were four years ago. Fortunately, though, your uncle Bill majored in chemical engineering and now works as an energy executive in Houston. He explains to you that domestic energy prices are influenced by numerous factors, including international oil production, the stability of global shipping, US energy production, and domestic refining capacity. Bill doesn’t want to tell you how to vote, but, based on what he’s told you, which candidate do you think would do a better job of ensuring stability for global crude oil shipments, creating an environment to incentivize domestic energy production, and working with American refiners to increase capacity, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? 6. Your coworker Jeff has a son in the Army, Kyle. Jeff doesn't talk much about what Kyle does, but he showed you a picture one day of Kyle sporting a beard overseas, proudly mentioning that he recently qualified for Special Forces (you jokingly give him a hard time, since your son is in the Marines, but you also thank him for his service). Jeff is concerned about the ongoing fighting between Russia and Ukraine, which, at this point, is in its fourth year. While Jeff’s sympathies lie with the victimized Ukrainian people, his main priority is keeping his son from being forward deployed into a situation that could spiral into direct combat between Kyle’s unit and Russian forces. Which candidate do you believe is more likely to keep Kyle and his special operations teammates from being pulled into an escalating cycle of warfare in Eastern Europe, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? 7. Your college-age daughter, Stephanie, announces that she intends to study abroad in Israel, which will include several weeks at a kibbutz near the border with Gaza. (You try to talk her into going to France instead, but, thanks to “Emily in Paris,” there’s a lengthy waiting list for those programs, and, besides, she’d rather do something less “bougie.”) Which candidate do you believe would better ensure that Hamas does not feel comfortable crossing the border into Israel and taking civilian hostages—including American citizens—back into Gaza, Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? Let’s be candid: We all know what the answer to each and every one of these questions is. Now, if your political priorities aren’t stopping grocery price inflation, or keeping our military out of needless forever wars, or preventing illegal immigrants from overrunning our southern border and overwhelming the social infrastructure of our cities, or stopping the ongoing hollowing out of our industrial base, or increasing domestic energy security, or avoiding getting pulled into World War III with Russia, or protecting American citizens from Middle Eastern terrorists, that’s your prerogative. It’s not for me to tell you what to value in your life or what issues to prioritize. Just know that the vast majority of Americans are far more concerned about the issues I summarized above than they are with any of the progressive issues Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and their surrogates in the media and in the entertainment industry would rather discuss. If your focus is the middle-class prosperity, working-class dignity, economic growth, and military strength, you know you have only one choice in this election. Keep these questions in mind, and vote accordingly.

If you want to make $1 million in 1 year, break it down. $1,000,000 / 12 = $83,333 per month $83,333 / 30 = $2,777 per day Land one $5000 client every other day. Or sell 18 $150 products a day. Thats 720 people to a page that converts at 2.5%. Build a product, distribute.

A single bout of exercise, 4 min at 90% HRmax, increased VO2max to a similar extent as 4 bouts of 4 min, when done 3×/wk for 10 weeks. 1. If you train at high intensity, you don't need long duration or high frequency 2. There are sharply diminishing returns to exercise

@RobertMSterling Utterly baffling how you can support someone so corrupt, felonious, clearly not bright, who disparages people who serve, disparages almost everyone actually, who’s so thin-skinned and easily manipulated by anyone with a third of a brain. Yet you still support him. Baffling.

Kamala Harris is flying to NYC for SNL, which 2-4M people watch every week. But she wouldn’t go to Austin to sit with Joe Rogan, whose audience is 10X larger (43M watched Trump on YouTube alone). She doesn’t want questions or interviews. She wants propaganda features. Pathetic.
